Lee Jong Suk, Shin Min Ah, Ju Ji Hoon, and Lee Se Young’s “The Remarried Empress” confirms to premiere exclusively in November on Disney+!

Your next Disney+ royal obsession arrives this November!

It’s finally confirmed! The Remarried Empress is coming to Disney+ on November 4. It is based on the chart-topping webtoon of the same name, which has garnered almost 3 billion views to date, and tells the story of a perfect empress of the Eastern Kingdom named Navier Ellie Trovi, who agrees to divorce the emperor after finding out that he has a lover. She remarries a rival prince of the Western Kingdom – igniting a tale of political intrigue, romance, and a fight to reclaim her stolen power.

Hometown Cha-Cha-ChaOur Blues, No Gain No Loveand Karma star Shin Min Ah will transform into an empress named Navier. She is Sovieshu’s wife, who becomes unfaithful to her. She strives to reclaim her power following her husband’s infidelity.

Ju Ji Hoon portrays Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Empire, husband of Navier, who shocks her one day when he returns home with his mistress and demands a divorce.

He demonstrated his profound dramatic range with acclaimed performances in Princess Hours, The DevilHyena, Kingdom, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, Blood Free, Love Your Enemy, and Lightshop Keeper, to name a few.

Lee Jong Suk portrays the role of a prince of the Western Kingdom named Heinrich Alex Laszlo, who harbors a hidden secret.

He is known for his amazing acting calibre. In 2022, Jong Suk portrayed the role of Park Chang Ho in the noir series Big Mouth, which premiered on Disney+ and won the Grand Prize at the MBC Drama Awards. Last year, he starred in the legal drama, Law and the Big City. 

The Red SleeveThe Story of Park’s Marriage Contract, What Comes After Love, and Motel California star Lee Se Young will play the role of Rashta, a former runaway slave-turned-concubine of Sovieshu who sets her sights on the empress’s throne.

The Remarried Empress is helmed by director Jo Soo Won, who previously worked on the dramas I Hear Your Voice, Pinocchio, and Still 17. The script is penned by The Uncanny Counter writers, Yeo Ji Na and Hyun Choong Yeol.

It is set to debut with a four-episode premiere on November 4. Two new episodes drop every Wednesday through the series finale on November 25, only on Disney+.
