Netflix’s hit medical series, “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” in talks for Seasons 2 and 3!
We may be seeing Dr. Baek and the squad of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call in its new seasons!
According to the reports on June 22, Netflix’s medical series, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, is in talks to have its 2nd and 3rd seasons and will begin filming its first season in October. Season 2 consists of 8 episodes, with scripts already written up to 4 episodes.
The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call Season 1 stars, Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, and Yoon Kyung Ho, will reportedly reprise their roles. The new season revolves around their journey in the Severe Trauma Center in the countryside, and new characters will appear in each episode.
According to Netflix’s representative, they are currently discussing the production of the sequel, and nothing has been finalized yet. They will announce it once it is finalized.
The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call revolves around the genius surgeon named Baek Kang Hyuk, who once served in a war zone. He takes on the mission of reviving a neglected Severe Trauma Care team. The drama was released in 2025 and became one of Netflix’s hit medical series.
The drama garnered critical acclaim, sweeping various accolades, notably Outstanding Korean Drama at the 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards and Best Drama at the 2025 Blue Dragon Series Awards. Furthermore, Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, and Yoon Kyung Ho were individually honored with awards at a multitude of esteemed drama ceremonies.
