6 times Kentaro Sakaguchi made our hearts flutter as Aoki Jungo in “What Comes After Love”
What Comes After Love is one of the best romantic melodramas of 2024. It depicts the romantic and painful love story of Hong and Jungo, who first met each other in Japan. 5 years after their breakup, they meet again in Korea.
Kentaro Sakaguchi made his Korean drama debut with this series and portrayed the role of Aoki Jungo, a Japanese man exploring a cross-cultural romance. He once again proved his versatility in acting and showed great chemistry with his leading lady, Lee Se Young. He captivated the hearts of many viewers and made our hearts flutter with his charming role. Let us all bring back those moments when he made everyone’s heart skip a beat. 1. The First Encounter
This scene is when Jungo helps Hong pick up her things at the train station when Hong arrives in Japan. They are strangers here, but when they looked into each other’s eyes, we felt the romantic spark already.
2. The Confession
“With you, I think I can find it (The love that doesn’t change) wherever it may be.” When Jungo confessed his love to Hong under the cherry blossom, it was so romantic! Their first kiss as a couple adds more sweetness to their starting romantic relationship. So kilig!
3. The Forehead Kiss
Isn’t it so adorable to see how Jungo sweetly kisses Hong’s forehead? It was followed by a kiss on her nose and on her cheeks. Their moments in Kyoto were just so full of love, it was so priceless!
4. The Regret
5 years after their breakup, Jungo and Hong meet again in Korea. There was this scene when Jungo was being interviewed and asked if he still had feelings for her ex-girlfriend, and he responded, “I regret it. During these 5 years, I have never once forgotten about her.” I was just watching but screaming inside, I commend his bravery to say that in front of Hong.
5. Nice Catch Jungo!
I really like the tension between Hong and Jungo here. They were not saying a word, but the way they looked into each other’s eyes, I felt their longing for each other after breaking up 5 years ago. The way Jungo held Hong in his arms to prevent her from falling gave me so many butterflies!
6. The Couple’s Comeback
They say love is sweeter the second time around, and Hong and Jungo show that after getting back together. It is the most heart-fluttering moment of them, saying sorry to each other, realizing what they did wrong, and learning from it. The moments when they were apart from each other made them realize how much they love each other.
This is a beautiful story of love that everyone shouldn’t miss!
