LOOK: Our BENCH Korean endorsers through the years!
When it comes to local fashion brands, we all know how Bench marked itself as a popular clothing line in the Philippines. Founded by Ben Chan, the brand succeeded in climbing the fashion ladder to be a globally recognized fashion line! Throughout the years, Bench has invited (and hopefully will keep on inviting) several Korean oppas and unnies to become their brand ambassador!
Check out the list of the K-Celebs who worked with the brand below:
1. Lee Minho
The Boys Over Flowers craze introduced Lee Min Ho to his Filipino fans. He visited Manila for his Bench funmeetings in 2012, 2014-2016! It is no secret how he captured the hearts of everyone through his acting.
2. Super Junior’s Choi Siwon & Lee Donghae
Super Junior’s Donghae and Siwon wowed their Filipino ELFs with their Bench endorsement in 2012 as well. They’ve also met up with their fans for a funmeet.
3. Nichkhun
2PM’s Nichkhun signed up to be the brand’s ambassador last 2013. He also visited the country to meet his Filipino fans!
4. Park Shin Hye
Park Shin Hye marked her spot in the hearts of her Filipino fans for her roles in the dramas, You’re Beautiful and The Heirs alongside Lee Min Ho. She visited the country in 2017 for her fun meet.
5. Park Hyun Sik
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon star Park Hyung Sik joins the brand’s Global Ambassador list when he worked with Bench last 2019. A lot of his fans gathered in the MOA arena for his fun meet!
6. Park Seo Jun
Following Park Hyung Sik, Itaewon Class‘ star Park Seo Jun also visited Manila last 2019 for his funmeet! It was also his first time meeting his Filipino fans!
7. Ji Chang Wook
Ji Chang Wook teaming up with Bench took everyone by surprise. He immediately followed after Park Seo Jun and endorsed the brand’s fragrance line. After almost three years of waiting, the actor finally visited Manila for the brand’s funmeet.
9. TWICE
K-POP girl group TWICE is the brand’s newest female Korean endorser. They even made their Filipino ONCEs fill up the Bench stores for their photo card promo! TWICE made the PH ONCEs happy during their online funmeet!
8. Hyun Bin
Hyun Bin joins the Bench family as one of their endorsers! The brand made everyone’s quarantine life during the COVID-19 pandemic brighter with his lovely photos! Hyun Bin made our hearts flutter during his online fan-meeting last July.
9. Byeon Woo Seok
Byeon Woo Seok takes everyone by surprise as he poses for the brand’s underwear line, BENCH/BODY! Woo Seok shows off his well-formed abs as he confidently models! The actor initially stole our hearts when he starred in Record of Youth alongside Park Bo Gum and Park So Dam.
10. Kim Soo Hyun
Kim Soo Hyun joins the Bench setter lineup last July 2021. The It’s Okay to Not Be Okay male lead was easy to identify when Bench released a teaser. Sure enough, the fans are indeed correct in their guess as he joins the Bench family! Kim Soo Hyun visited Manila last June 2022 to spend a lovely evening with his fans.
11. Stray Kids
After the strong lineup of Korean actors, Stray Kids break the streak to follow as the newest Global Bench setters. They posed for the brand’s BENCH BETTER MADE, wherein they posed for clothing made in post-consumer recycled materials. The boy group visited Manila in January 2023 to meet Filipino STAYs.
12. ITZY
Another girl group joins TWICE as ITZY joins BENCH as the brand’s second girl-group endorser. Similar to their labelmate, Stray Kids, the girl group hosted a WANNABE with Bench funmeet with their MIDZYs.
13. Wi Ha Jun
Wi Ha Jun who’s globally known for his amazing Squid Game performance, joined the expanding list of the brand’s global ambassadors! He left an impressing and memorable impact when he visited Manila in May 2023 for his funmeet.
14. Kim Seon Ho
Kim Seon Ho was announced as the newest part of Bench just in time for their 35th anniversary. The actor gained stardom for portraying the role of Chief Hong, in the hit series, Hometown Cha Cha Cha.
15. Ahn Hyo Seop
Heart-stealer Ahn Hyo Seop joins the lineup in November 2022. His Filipino fanbase grew bigger after starring as the cold-hearted turned romantic CEO Kang Tae-mu in A Business Proposal. He recently starred in Dr. Romantic 3.
16. Enhypen
Taking their ENGENEs by surprise, Enhypen is the newest group to join the Bench family! The seven-member boy group is delighted to strike some poses for the fashion brand.
Special Mentions:
Jerry Yan
Jerry Yan was the brand’s second international model. He posed for Bench in 2003, where the country got hooked with his role as Dao Ming Si from Meteor Garden.
Dylan Wang
16 years after the OG Jerry Yan’s visit, Dylan Wang was signed with the brand and visited the country to meet his fans in 2019. The recent Dao Ming Si enjoyed a fruitful time meeting his fans.
