
The main actor of the hit series My Love from the Star and Moon Embracing the Sun, Kim Soo Hyun arrived in Manila on Thursday night, June 8, 2022, a few days ahead of his first-ever fan meeting in the country.
One Extraordinary Day With Kim Soo Hyun event, organized by Bench, took place on, June 10, 2022, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
He expressed his delight at returning to the country five years after his previous visit during a press conference held on Thursday, June 9, 2022.
“From the airport, I could see the warm greetings from my fans and I was very happy to see them,” the 34-year-old actor said.
It is not the first time that the actor visited the country, in 2017 he visited the Philippines to attend a VIP event launch for a Korean brand.

Soo Hyun told the press that he felt honored that a Filipino brand had invited him back to see his fans this time.
“Actually, it’s been almost a year since I’ve been a model for Bench, and I’m so honored that I could visit here, with a great opportunity to be here.”
“And as long as I know, the Bench brand is a very friendly brand, very popular. And I will also try [my] best to become a very friendly actor.”
The actor immediately felt the heat of Manila, both from his supporters and the weather as soon as he landed at the airport.
“When I arrived at the airport, the hotness of the Philippines embraced me,” the actor said.
“…because of the heat and the hotness of that the fans were able to give, [I] had to take off [my] jacket [laughs].”

KIM SOO HYUN AND HIS GO-TO-STYLE
When asked for his go-to fashion, the actor prefers “casual and comfortable clothes in black or dark colors”, just like you and me, he prefers to wear a simple and casual look.
Another question followed if his go-to style is applicable to weather conditions in the country, “… I may sound like a fashion consultant, but I suggest something casual in front and something like a fish net at the back because of the weather condition [laughs].”

“From the airport, I could see and feel the warm greetings from my fans,” he says.
“I am happy to see them again. Filipinos have the eyes of an angel, and I missed those eyes the most,” he utters.
The actor was asked about the Filipino food he has tried so far “… yesterday, I tried, of course, the Jollibee. The burger, pasta, chicken, the set. I’ve tried that!”
In addition, the actor said, “when we talk about Filipino food, the things I can think of are the fruits.”
On top of that, he happily shared that he was able to try our famous chicharon as he passed by Malate on his way to his accommodation.
He would also want to try our famous ihaw-ihaw, if given a chance he adds.
Furthermore, if given the opportunity, he’d like to visit the country’s magnificent beaches in Boracay and Cebu again.

HIS NEXT PROJECT
When asked about his next project, he responds “[There is] nothing certain for now, but I will try to give you good news as soon as possible. Many of my fans want to see me in a medical drama.”
