Park Sung Hoon and Jeon So Min: A review of friendship through the years
Many K-drama fans don’t know, but Park Sung Hoon and Jeon So Min are besties in real life!
The two have met and worked together for the first time on KBS drama special ‘Review Notebook Of My Embarrassing Days’ in 2018.
They remained friends along with the director and fellow actors from the drama special.

They have also sent coffee truck support for each other for their respective dramas.

In 2021, they reunited for another drama special ‘Hee Soo‘ which won the Best Picture Award at the 2021 Korea UHD Awards.
This time, it was Director Hwang Seung Gi of ‘Review Notebook Of My Embarrassing Days’ who sent a coffee truck to support them for their second drama special together.
Both of them also won the Best Actor and Best Actress In A Special Drama awards at the 2021 KBS Drama Awards.

They attended the awards show a year later as presenters of the Best Actor and Best Actress In A Special Drama awards.

During the promotion period of the drama special, they guested on the KBS show ‘Problem Child In House’ wherein they revealed funny stories about their personal lives and their friendship. You can watch the episode on VIU!

They also guested on ‘KBS Cool FM Radio‘ where it was mentioned that Sung Hoon was in tears when he watched an episode of So Min’s variety show ‘Sixth Sense’. It was the episode wherein the members had a healing art session and So Min broke down in tears while sharing some of her struggles. (Such a sweet and supportive friend!)
They were featured in ELLE Korea’s August 2021 issue as well.

Watch their fun ELLE Korea ‘Love Counseling Center’ Q&A:
So Min finished 2022 with the drama ‘Cleaning Up’ and reality-dating show ‘SKIP‘ and has recently filmed for the upcoming movie ‘Only God Knows Everything’ while Sung Hoon is currently working on more projects after his great performance on the successful drama ‘The Glory‘. He was revealed as a new cast for the 2nd season of ‘Squid Game‘ and has been busy with upcoming dramas ‘Not Others’, ‘The Day of the Kidnapping’, and ‘Queen of Tears’.
On So Min’s latest IG post, Sung Hoon commented and was seemingly jealous of his friend’s vacation time with family. (Enjoy your well-deserved success and projects for now, oppa! Haha)

Note that these two actors, though have starred in two drama specials as lovers, never had a kissing scene! A romance genre for a reunion project could be something to look forward to.
Brilliant actors with great friendship and chemistry, we need them on a full-length drama series next!
I didn’t know them when I first watched Review Notebook. And it was one of my fave KBS Drama Special😊 I was actually hoping that they are dating for real 😆
