Gong Min Jung reveals pregnancy at the press conference of “Sorry Not Sorry”
On December 2nd, the press conference for the new KBS Joy drama “Sorry Not Sorry” was held at the Stanford Hotel in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Along with Gong Min Jung, it was attended by Jeon So Min, Choi Daniel, Jang Hee Ryung, Kim Mu Jun, and Director Min Ji Young.
Married in September to “Marry My Husband” co-star Jang Jae Ho, Gong Min Jung said that she can discuss her work with her husband who is also an actor. “I used to have to figure things out on my own every day, but now I have someone I can brainstorm with and develop things further, so I think that’s the biggest change. My husband was also really happy when I told him I was doing this project, and he supports me every day and helps me a lot at home. I’m doing well,” she added.
She greeted the press at the event and revealed her pregnancy saying, “Actually, I’m pregnant right now and about to give birth, so there are a lot of similarities with my character (Choi Ha Na). I ended up blurring my greetings.”
She said that her character in the drama wasn’t originally set as a pregnant woman, but fortunately, the writer and the production team changed it for her.
“I was thankful that I did the work because I thought there would be something that could represent my feelings as a pregnant woman. I hope you can congratulate me with a beautiful heart, and since (the birth) is just around the corner, I am filming safely, happily, and in a caring and stable environment,” she added.
Gong Min Jung also said that her biggest reason for doing the drama is its very realistic story.
“Everything that friends my age talk about was included in the work. There were many points that I could sympathize with in great detail. Especially since I am pregnant, I felt this feeling more and my voice was heard. It was a well-written scenario that made me want to do it, so I would appreciate it if you could see that,” she said.
Look forward to Gong Min Jung’s portrayal of Choi Ha Na, a systematic working mom, and Ji Song Yi’s (played by Jeon So Min) ex-best friend.
“Sorry Not Sorry” will air on December 5th at 9 PM KST on KBS Joy and Netflix.
