K-Pop World Domination on Spotify Wrapped 2023
K-Pop has proven that despite language and cultural differences, music can connect and transcend listeners in different parts of the world.

Now that the year is about to end, let us complete the year by wrapping it up with the music and songs we have listened to in the past months of 2023.
Spotify has recently launched its annual Wrapped this year, unveiling that more than 574 million people around the globe listened to and streamed on the said audio streaming service. With various artists, songs, and genres streamed this 2023, Spotify is also putting the spotlight on K-Pop or Korean Pop music.
K-Pop has recently gone global and is loved by many audiences all over the world. There is no doubt that some of your favorite artists and songs might selected as part of the Top Artists and Top Songs of 2023.
Global Top K-Pop Artists of Spotify Wrapped 2023
The top Global Top K-Pop Artists of the Year is global sensation, BTS. They have maintained their title since 2022, following their successful solo releases in 2023. Five members of the group were among the top 20 most-streamed K-Pop Artists globally this year: Jungkook, Jimin, V, Agust D (also known as SUGA), and j-hope, respectively.
The second K-Pop Top Artist is BLACKPINK and BTS’s maknae, Jungkook, becomes the third K-Pop Top Artist. Third-generation K-Pop groups part of the Top lists are TWICE (#7), SEVENTEEN (#8), NCT DREAM (#18).
The fourth-generation K-Pop idols NewJeans and Stray Kids come in as the fourth and fifth Global Top K-Pop Artist of 2023. Alongside these groups, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (#9) and LE SSERAFIM (#10) are part of the Top 10 Global Top K-Pop Artists of the Year.
Global Top K-Pop Songs of Spotify Wrapped 2023
BTS, BLACKPINK, and NewJeans also dominated the list of Global Top K-Pop Songs of the Year.
Jungkook’s Seven (feat. Latto) is hailed as the Top K-Pop song of the year, also making Spotify history by becoming the fastest song to hit one billion streams in just 108 days and joining the Spotify Billions Club. His two other songs, Dreamers [Music from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Sountrack] and 3D (feat. Jack Harlow) were part of the Top 20 list, placing at #12 and #14 respectively.
K-Pop girl group, FIFTY-FIFTY also entered the list with their song, Cupid- Twin Ver. which became viral on the TikTok app.
Number 3 on the list goes to Jimin’s Like Crazy, as well as Set Me Free Pt. 2 and Like Crazy (English Version) as #15 and #17 respectively. V’s song, Love Me Again also made it to the list, alongside BTS’ Take Two and Dynamite.
Rookie powerhouse K-Pop girl group, NewJeans, made it to the list with their two songs: OMG (#4) and Ditto (#5). Two of their other songs, Super Shy and Hype Boy ranked #6 and #10 respectively.
Another standout in the list is “MONEY” by LISA of BLACKPINK which also joined the Spotify Billions Club. BLACKPINK member, Jisoo made it to the list with her solo debut song, Flower as #8. BLACKPINK also made it to the list with Shut Down and Pink Venom #9 and #11 respectively.
