For their first collaboration, Viu Philippines and Unilever Nutrition SEA and Indonesia bring us Secret Ingredient, a story about a Korean social elite who finds his lost love.
On January 19, 2024, Viu Philippines confirmed their upcoming series entitled, “Secret Ingredient.”
This upcoming series will star three actors from different countries: South Korean actor, Lee Sang-Heon, Filipina actress, Julia Barretto, and Indonesian superstar, Nicholas Saputra.
The title of the series was revealed through an exclusive dinner event with the cast, director of the series, Jo Young-Kwang, Unilever Nutrition SEA and Indonesia Lead for Digital Marketing, Media and Commerce, Macce Samarista, Viu Philippines, and Unilever.

Viu Philippines is known for releasing many dramas across Asian countries. This new series brings a different taste as these three actors connect their own cultures, creating a compelling storyline.
From its title, viewers can expect that it will also feature a variety of flavors that will surely make your stomach full.
Annyeong Oppa had the opportunity to ask Julia Barretto about what she feels working with foreign actors for the first time and how they got along on-screen and off-screen. Here’s what she has to say:
Nagpapasalamat nalang ako sa Diyos kasi yung mga kasama ko dito are so nice. So easy, so friendly. I think kapag parehas ang…parehas kaming lahat ng goal. Aligned kami sa goals namin for the series. Siyempre lahat kami, gusto maging maganda ang kalabasan niya so we’re all on board and I think that’s why nag get along kami lahat. Para kaming teammates para ma-achieve yung goal namin for the series.
