“Born Guilty” starring Park Seo Jun, Um Tae Goo, and Jo Hye Joo is coming exclusively on Disney+

We have a new crime noir series to look forward to on Disney+.

Born Guilty is a webtoon-based series that is set in 1980s Korea, in a rapidly developing area of Seoul, it depicts the story of Pengi who was raised in a world consumed by crime, and joins hands with a gangster in the city’s northern district named Ssaengdak. This alliance promises to be the catalyst for Pengi’s grand ambitions, as they unite their forces to stake their claim over Seoul’s clandestine underworld.

In his first villain role, Park Seo Jun portrays the role of Pengi, a sharp, vicious, and unpredictable thug abandoned at a young age at a local orphanage.

Seo Jun is known for his great acting caliber and is remarkable for his roles in the dramas Kill Me, Heal Me, She Was Pretty, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, Fight for My WayWhat’s Wrong With Secretary KimItaewon Class, his hit 2-season series Gyeongseong Creature, and Surely Tomorrow.

Um Tae Goo transforms into a gangster whose very existence is upended when he defies his organization, forging an unexpected alliance with Pengi.

Tae Goo is known for his role in My Sweet Mobster. He also starred in Disney+’s Lightshop Keeper and made a cameo appearance in Tempest.

My Demon and Dear Hyeri star, Hye Joo plays the role of Bok Hee, a drug supplier in the series. She is also Pengi’s first love.

Born Guilty is helmed and penned by Hong Won Chan, the man behind Deliver Us From Evil and Office. This compelling production is brought to life by NEW POINT, renowned for their work on Take Charge of My Heart, and Plusmedia Entertainment, the creative force behind Chicken Nugget and Unicorn.
