Crime thriller series, “Gold Land” starring Park Bo Young, Kim Sung Cheol, and Lee Hyun Wook debuts exclusively on Disney+ this April!
New crime-thriller series is set to debut on Disney+ this April!

Gold Land tells the story of Hee Ju, who accidentally came into possession of gold bars from a smuggling organization. She finds herself on the run from some of Korea’s most dangerous men.

Lightshop Keeper star, Park Bo Young, takes the role of Kim Hee Ju, a determined security screening officer at an international airport desperate to escape her past. Alongside her is No Way Out actor, Kim Sung Cheol, who takes the role of Jang Wook (a.k.a Woogy), a member of the criminal organization chasing Hee Ju and someone who lived in the same neighborhood as her when they were young.

Star-studded cast members include Lee Hyun Wook, an airline co-pilot named Lee Do Kyung, Hee Ju’s boyfriend, who lures her into the possession of gold bars, Moon Jeong Hee as Yeo Sun Ok Kim, Hee Ju’s mother, Lee Kwang Soo as Director Park, and Kim Hee Won as Detective Kim Jin Man.
The series is penned by Oldboy screenwriter Hwang Jo Yoon, who also worked in the films Rampant and Memoir of a Murderer, and is directed by visionary director Kim Sung Hoon, who previously worked in the series, Chief Detective 1958, and the 2017 film, Confidential Assignment.
Get ready to get captivated by Gold Land‘s mind-blowing plot. It is set to premiere on April 29 with 2 episodes. Another 2 new episodes will be released every Wednesday until the season finale on May 27.
