12 Reasons why “Twenty Five, Twenty One” is a drama you shouldn’t miss!

I finally found my comfort drama next to Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and I am excited to share it with you mga bes! It’s tvN’s new drama, Twenty Five, Twenty One starring Nam Joo Hyuk, Kim Tae Ri, Bona, Choi Hyun Wook, and Lee Joo Myung.

Without further ado, here are twelve reasons why this drama is worth watching and worth adding to your must-watch list!

1. Endearing story of Youth

tvN released another masterpiece that depicts an endearing story of a youth who are struggling to find their way after having their dreams taken away in 1998 during the Asian Financial Crisis.

The viewers can relate to this drama as we are also experiencing another challenging time with the COVID 19 pandemic.

Moreover, this drama is so perfect for everyone who loves watching coming-of-age dramas like the Reply series.

2. 90’s Nostalgia

This drama will let you reminisce about the old times, specifically in the ’90s. The Tamagotchi, marbles, beepers, and old models of cellphones are some of those things that will make us feel nostalgic and as we look back on those precious times, we will get to appreciate the beauty of it more.

It is impressive to know as well that Kim Tae Ri perfectly portrayed an 18-year old high school student even though she is actually in her 30s in real life.

He plays the hardworking young man who takes all the responsibilities when his family had broken up due to the IMF crisis. His persistence and determination in bringing his family back will surely touch your heart. Amidst all the difficulties and struggles in life, he eventually became a reporter.

His character is such a motivation to everyone that whatever happens in life, you must go on. His character brings comfort to me and will surely bring comfort to you as well.

5. Overflowing Chemistry of Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri

“It’s not a rainbow, It’s love”

Here’s another couple that will give us butterflies! Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri are so adorable together. Their tandem is so comical at the same time it’s so romantic which will make your heart race. From being strangers to friends and from friends to lovers, witness how their relationship grows with each other as they support and comfort each other in their difficult times.

I’m so in love with these two! They are so cute when they are teasing each other. Even the simple things they do give me butterflies. Kilig!

6. Focuses on Fencing

En Garde, Pret, Allez! You’ll get to know and appreciate fencing more through this drama. You’ll get immersed as well while watching their competitions. The whole team especially Kim Tae Ri and Bona worked and trained hard for their roles here.

WJSN’s Bona once again proved that she is not only a great stage performer but also a great actress as well. She plays the role of Ko Yu Rim, a high school fencer gold medalist. from being Na Hee Do’s rival, witness how Ko Yu Rim became close friends with Na Hee Do. She is a good daughter who’s willing to do anything for her family.

Furthermore, her chemistry with Ji Woong is so great! they look good together.

Choi Hyun Wook as Moon Ji Woong

Hyun Wook plays the role of the most popular boy in school named Ji Woong. His character development will captivate your heart.

Him, showing his affection toward Yu Rim is something you shouldn’t miss because it is so adorable!

Lee Joo Myung as Ji Seung Wan

Seung Wan is the intelligent class president and the top student who is very honest about her feelings and emotions.

What you’ll love about her is her principle in life.

8. Choi Tae Joon and Gold Medalist Fencer, Kim Jun Ho’s Special Appearance

Following his marriage to Park Shin Hye, Choi Tae Joon is back on the small screen again and made his special appearance as Jeong Ho Jin, Na Hee Do’s ex-boyfriend. They are so cute when they are calling each other by nicknames, cutie pie and sweetie pie. The scene where he was cutting pork cutlet for Na Hee Do was so funny also!

Moreover, Choi Tae Joon starred in the web series So I Married The Anti-Fan and The Man’s Voice.

On the other hand, the charismatic gold medalist fencer, Kim Jun Ho had his special appearance as well to show off that he is not only good at fencing but also at acting. The scene where Yijin got so jealous because of him was so funny!
