Reasons why you shouldn’t miss watching “The King: Eternal Monarch”

Actor Lee Min Ho is finally back with a new drama titled “The King: Eternal Monarch” alongside Kim Go Eun and Woo Do Hwan.

The King: Eternal Monarch is a fantasy-romance drama that depicts the story about two parallel worlds. Emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) crosses the border between two worlds. There he was able to meet detective Jeong Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun).

The drama showcased its first episode on April 17 with a total of two episodes (as of this writing). If you haven’t watched it yet, below are the reasons why you shouldn’t miss watching this fantasy drama!

1. Comeback drama of Lee Min Ho

Lee Min Ho is finally back in drama land after being in hiatus for three years. “The King: Eternal Monarch” served as his comeback drama after being discharged from the military.

Who wouldn’t miss the one and only Lee Min Ho, right?

2. Three great Hallyu stars in one frame

We all know that fans wanted to pair up Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun. Their tandem made every fan drool over with excitement.

What would it be like watching the King of Hallyu and the Goblin’s bride in one drama?

An addition to the cast is Woo Do Hwan. He also plays a significant role as Lee Min Ho’s minder. The supporting cast includes Kim Kyung Nam, Jung Eun Chae, and Lee Jung Jin.

3. Written by Kim Eun Suk

When we hear Kim Eun Suk’s name as the writer of a drama, we know it would definitely be a hit. Her writing skills will leave you in awe.

She is also the person behind the hit drama The Inheritors and Goblin.

4. Aesthetic cinematography

Cinematography is just one of the many reasons why Filipinos love K-dramas!

6. Reunion drama of Kim Eun Suk with Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun

The King: Eternal Monarch marks the reunion of writer Kim Eun Suk with Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun.

Both actors have already worked with Kim Eun Suk in two separate dramas. Kim Eun Suk is the writer of Lee Min Ho’s previous drama The Inheritors’ known as The Heirs in 2013. While Kim Go Eun starred in 2016 drama Goblin. Both dramas received positive feedback from fans locally and internationally.

  1. I think that’s not the only reason why TKEM is a must watch k-drama. From the unique concept, to the multiple plot twists, and upto the superb details. Please do not watch a kdrama based only bcoz of the famous actors, but to the story itself… Give it a shot guys 💯
