R2B: Return to Base is a 2012 South Korean film starring Rain, Shin Se Kyung, Yoo Jun Sang, and Lee Ha Na. This movie is also known as Black Eagle and Soar Into The Sun. It is directed by Kim Dong Won and produced by CJ Entertainment.

It is a remake of the 1964 film Red Scarf by Shin Sang Ok. The film was also the last acting project for Rain before his mandatory military enlistment.
The story revolves around Captain Jung Tae Yoon, a talented Black Eagle pilot who is demoted to another unit for being a troublemaker. His love interest, Technical Sergeant Yoo Se Young, is a Fighter Wing mechanic who once dreamed of becoming a pilot. And there is Major Lee Cheol Hee, the ace of the team, who is recovering from a painful past. Also included in the cast are Captain Oh Yoo Jin, who’s in love with Major Park Dae Suh, and First Lieutenant Ji Seok Hyun, a rookie pilot.
Here are some reasons why you shouldn’t miss this pilot-themed movie:
The Visual
Imagine Rain and Lee Jong Suk together on screen, plus there’s Shin Se Kyung and Lee Ha Na. Also, if you are now missing Lee Jong-suk who’s currently serving in the military, it is a good movie to watch.

Aerial Scenes
Even if you are, or not, a fan of pilot-themed films, you’ll definitely be amazed by their aerial action scenes
Acting vs Dialogue
Sometimes heavy scenes and dialogues are not necessary. Some of the characters in this movie has limited lines. Though you can still feel their emotions through their acting skills, even without uttering a word.

The Emotions
This movie will give you that kilig feels even if it’s just a little romance between the characters since the movie did not mainly focus on the love line. Captain Jung Tae Yoon, played by Rain, will put a smile on your face with his mischievous acts at the beginning. But make sure to ready some tissues near the end of the movie.
