South Korea is one of the most admired countries in Asia especially to those who love K-drama, K-pop, and K-culture.
As we all know, Korea has four seasons in a year, such as spring, summer, autumn, and winter. All of those have their own unique beauty which attracts travellers and locals.
In this article, we will talk about the things we can do and reasons why you should visit South Korea during autumn season.

Aesthetic beauty

Autumn is a season wherein leaves’ color turns from green into red, yellow, or orange. This season would definitely give you a cool and awesome experience in Seoul.
The perfect time to visit the city is on late October and mid November. This is where the fall foliage are in bloom.
Cold weather

Aside from the aesthetic beauty during autumn season, the weather is also a bit colder. Note that if you plan to go to Korea during autumn, bring with you your thick jacket, coat, or any thermal wears.
Don’t worry, you can still enjoy roaming around Seoul even if it’s too cold as there are lots of coffee shops and vendo machines around the area.
This coffee (which you can see in the photo) from Nami Island saves our day. Must try.
Their authentic food

South Korea does not only offer beautiful sceneries. It also offers different kinds of authentic foods which all K-culture lovers would like to experience.
We are all familiar with kimchi, ramyun, and bulgogi. Koreans also love fried chickens.
The taste of their authentic kimchi is superb. They always provide side dishes like kimchi and udon in every meals.
Night markets

You can always do night markets in all seasons. Their night markets offers different kind of food and shopping souvenirs.
Places you can visit
There are a lot of things to do and a lot of place to visit in Seoul. One week is not enough to roam around.
Below are some activities you can still do during autumn.
Nami Island

When it’s your first time visiting The Land of the Morning Calm, then Nami Island is one of a must visit place.
It is also famous for all K-drama fans since this is the filming location for Winter Sonata.
Nami Island is located in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea. There are several ways to get in there. But in our case, we booked our tour through Klook because it took an average of two hours to travel from Seoul to Nami.
Just be sure to be on time when you book your tour. People in Korea are punctual, you wouldn’t want to miss your tour if the service leave you.
Garden of the Morning Calm

When you visit Nami Island, be sure to also stop by the nearest tourist spots around the area.
Garden of the Morning Calm is a botanical garden located in 432 Sumogwon-ro, Sang-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
It consists of different kinds of flowers and a perfect spot for nature lover just like Nami Island.
Petite France

Petite France is famous for being a French type theme park located in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
It is also known for K-drama fans because this is the filming location of My Love from the Star.
Gangchon Rail Park

Ever heared of Railway Bike experience? If you head to South Korea, this activity is a must try.
Gangchon Rail Park is a popular tourist activity in Korea; wherein, tourists are allowed to pedal in an old railways. Enjoy taking a detour around the area with your friends while pedaling.
Believe me, bes, this could take you to another level of unforgettable experience once you leave Korea.
Everland

If you love theme parks, you may also add Everland in your itinerary. Allot one whole day during your tour so you can enjoy all the activities inside the area.
Everland is located in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. You may also book a tour using Klook or you can take a subway, though commuting will take some time.
Starfield Library

Starfield Library is located at the center of CoEx Mall @ 513, Yeongdong-daero, Gangnam-gu, Starfield COEX Mall, Seoul 06164, South Korea.
This spot is perfect for all bookworms out there!
Gyeongbukgung Palace

South Korea is well-known for preserving their historical places. One of these is the famous Gyeongbukgung Palace.
Gyeongbukgung Palace is located at the center of Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is known to be the biggest among five palaces of Seoul.
If you are into historical places or stuff, there are a lot of walking distance Hostels around the area.
