IU and Byeon Woo Seok’s rom-com series, “Perfect Crown” is confirmed to be released exclusively on Disney+ in 2026!

Most anticipated drama reunion of IU and Byeon Woo Seok is coming to Disney+ in 2026!

On November 13 during the Disney+ Originals Preview at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, it was revealed that Perfect Crown (also known as Wife of a 21st Century Prince) starring IU and Byeon Woo Seok is included in the upcoming line-up of Disney’s Korean originals coming in 2026.

Perfect Crown is set in a reimagined modern-day Korea that operates under a constitutional monarchy. A touching romantic comedy series that depicts the romance between a chaebol heiress named Sung Hee Joo and a prince named Lee Ahn.

IU will portray the role of Sung Hee Joo, the beautiful and intelligent second daughter of a conglomerate family. Her commoner status, which she thinks is nothing special, hinders her perfect life. She then becomes entangled with Prince Lee Ahn and ends up being in a marriage contract with him.

IU debuted as an actress in the hit 2011 series, Dream High. She is known for her impeccable acting skills and is remarkable for her roles in the dramas You Are the Best!, Bel Ami, The Producers, Moon Lovers, My Mister, and Hotel Del Luna. Her recent drama is When Life Gives You Tangerines.

Byeon Woo Seok will transform into a prince who doesn’t have anything despite being the son of the king. He is the second son of the king and hides his true identity. His life changes when he meets Sung Hee Joo.

Woo Seok showed his seamless acting in the series Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, Record of Youth, Moonshine, his widely acclaimed rom-com series, Lovely Runner, and in the films 20th Century Girl, and Soulmate.

IU and Woo Seok previously worked in the 2016 series, Moon Lovers.

Perfect Crown is helmed by director Park Joon Hwa, who previously worked in the series What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim and Alchemy of Souls, and is penned by Yu Ain.
