You Are the Best

The Producers allowed IU to work with Cha Tae-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun in this series. She plays the role of Cindy, a top celebrity who debuted when she was 13. In this series, IU plays the role of a cold-hearted, poker-faced celebrity who tries to suppress all her emotions throughout the years.
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo gives IU a time-travel drama. She goes back to the Goryeo dynasty to portray the role of Hae Soo. Unexpectedly, she wakes up entangled with the royal family during the 10th-century Goryeo dynasty. Moreover, IU received much praise due to her portrayal of Hae Soo.
Alongside IU, she is joined by Lee Joon-gi and Kang Ha-neul as the main leads of the series.
My Mister
IU gives life to Lee Ji-an in My Mister. She was living a challenging life, caring for her deaf grandmother and paying her mother’s debts. Growing up, she was convicted of murdering a loan shark during her middle school years, got an opportunity to work a temporary job, and met Park Dong Hoon.
Hotel del Luna
Probably one of the most well-loved dramas by IU! In Hotel Del Luna, she takes on the lead role of hotelier, Jang Man-wol. Man-wol is receiving punishment for a sin she committed 1,300 years ago. Despite this thousand-year punishment, she is known for her moody and materialistic personality.
Yeo Jin-goo stars alongside IU in this series.
