The journey of global pop idols, HORI7ON Vinci and Marcus, on Kpop Playground 2025 ‘Idol Talk’
One of the most-awaited segments from Kpop Playground 2025 that happened last June 21st at Robinsons Galleria Ortigas was the ‘Idol Talk’ with global pop group HORI7ON hyung-maknae duo (our yapper duo – perfect for the segment btw!), Vinci and Marcus.
The talk comprises discussions about Vinci and Marcus‘ journey in becoming aspirants on the survival show and their lives as idols.
Marcus shared that his favorite K-pop group is ENHYPEN, with Sunghoon and Jay as his biases. On the other hand, Vinci, who is a multi-stan, named NCT and BLACKPINK as his favorites among a lot of groups that he also likes.
Marcus found out about the K-pop industry through BTS Jungkook, who remains to be his role model. He also gladly shared the story of them meeting Jungkook during their music show promotions in Korea.
As for the hobbies they enjoy doing during their free time, Marcus shared that he likes to play the piano and (play) videogames. For Vinci, who is truly a K-pop fan, he likes watching and being updated on new (K-pop) releases.
If you’re visiting Korea, Vinci recommends going to Seongsu-dong for shopping and cafes. Marcus suggested trying 7-Eleven and experience its difference.
The HORI7ON members additionally shared the stories of experiencing both P-pop and K-pop trainings, citing how strict and structured K-pop training is. They have undergone vocal, rap, language, and dance training. Vinci revealed how rigorous their dance training was, having to practice even after doing their appearances on music shows.
Their trainings played a huge part in contributing to the group’s chemistry – coming from a survival show as individuals to facing challenges and hardships together.
Marcus and Vinci are proving their passion by declaring their happiness to perform and making the most out of their hard practices, and making everything worth it.
As global pop idols who represent their home country, Vinci admitted being excited and pressured to be the first all-Filipino to debut and promote in Korea. They are honored to represent with a lot of pride and be an inspiration to a lot of young Filipinos.
HORI7ON’s motivation is to keep setting milestones and represent the Philippines.
From reaching their goal of winning the survival show to debuting in Korea to holding concerts and meeting their ANCHORs, more goals are adding up throughout HORI7ON‘s journey, and they promise to never stop chasing their dreams.
“We won’t stop being around. (We just want to let you all know that) we’re not going anywhere. We’re always gonna be here trying to reach our goals.” – Marcus
