Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo in talks to star in upcoming Fantasy series!
New potential K-drama pairing alert! We may be seeing Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo in one drama together!
On June 25, it was revealed by Nam Joo Hyuk’ agency, Management SOOP and Roh Yoon Seo’s agency, MAA that they both received a casting offer to star in the upcoming fantasy series, Donggung.
Nam Joo Hyuk received a casting offer to play the role of an arrogant ghost slayer Goo Cheon. He has the ability to transform into a ghost himself and kill ghosts by cutting them down with the sword.
If he accepts the role, this will be his next fantasy series after The School Nurse Files. He is also remarkable for his roles in the dramas, Who Are You: School 2015, Cheese in the Trap, Moon Lovers, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, The Bride of Habaek, The Light in Your Eyes, Start Up, Twenty-Five Twenty-One and his latest series, Vigilante.
In March last year, Nam Joo Hyuk enlisted in the Military Police Force and will be discharged this coming September 19. This series may be his first project after his discharge.
On the other hand, Roh Yoon Seo is in talks to play the role of Saeng Gang a court lady who has a special ability to communicate with the ghosts.
Roh Yoon Seo is known for her roles in the dramas, Our Blues and Crash Course in Romance. He also appeared as Yeon Du in the Netflix film, 20th Century Girl.
Donggung depicts the story of a various ghosts occupying the mysterious palace. A ghost slayer and a court lady join hands to infiltate the palace and eliminate ghosts.
It will be helmed by Director Choi Jung Kyu who previously worked on the series, The Devil Judge.
