Hwang In Youp in talks to join Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae in upcoming webtoon-based series!
We may be seeing Hwang In Youp in a series with Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae together. It’s going to be so good!
On June 26, it was revealed that Hwang In Youp received a casting offer to make a special appearance in the upcoming drama, Dear X.
If he accepts the offer, he will play the role of Heo In Kang, a mysterious idol-turned-actor who has a deep secret. His character will bring tension to the series.
Hwang In Youp showcased his versatility in acting in various dramas such as The Tale of Nokdu, 18 Again, True Beauty, Why Her, and The Sound of Magic.
He will star in the upcoming coming-of-age rom-com series, Family by Choice also known as A Prefabricated Family alongside Jung Chae Yeon and Bae Hyun Sung.
Dear X is a webtoon-based series with the same name that depicts the story of a woman named Baek Ah Jin who uses others to get what she wants and becomes a successful actress who rises to the top but eventually falls down.
Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae also received a casting offer to play the roles of Baek Ah Jin and Yoon Joon Seo in the series, respectively.
Moreover, Hwang In Youp and Kim Yoo Jung both appeared in a variety show, Young Actors’ Retreat.
Dear X will be helmed by director Lee Eung Bok the man behind the hit series, Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, and Sweet Home. It is currently in production preparations aiming for broadcast in the first half of 2025.
