“It’s not the brand. It’s the customer.” This is the slogan of Korea’s NO BRAND store.The value-driven store features private label products that do away with marketing frills and fancy packaging, yet deliver the same quality that are at par with respected and much-patronized brands in the market.

Launched in 2015 by Korea’s leading retailer Emart. No Brand store is very popular in Korea with 258 locations. It opened its first store in the Philippines at Robinsons Galleria on November 22, 2019.

The smart consumer takes centerstage at No Brand as it highlights utility over vanity, value over appearances. By adopting a simple approach to merchandising and eliminating costs of fancy branding, customers can expect to get exactly what they need or more. No drama, no selling ploys, no brand – only the guarantee of a wide varicty of high-quality products at affordable prices.

Choices range from chocolates, potato chips, cereals, Korean ice-cream to non-food praducts like tissue, laundry detergent, diapers and more. Price points are from Php50 to Php1,000.

Two leaders in retail industry in their respective countries, E-mart and Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RHHI) forged a deal late last year to bring the No Brand to the Philippines.

“We are confident that, together, we will be able to widen the presence of No Brand in the Philippines by opening more branches,” says Manjoon, SONG, Senior Vice-President of No Brand Division, E-Mart.

“No Brand’s philosophy of advocating smart shopping is aligned with Robinsons Retail’s mission of providing top quality products at prices customers can well afford. We are excited and proud to partner with them,” says Jody Gadia, Managing Director, RRHI supermarket segment.
