SF9 [also known as Sensational Feeling 9] is a South Korean boy group under FNC Entertainment. The group consists of 9 members namely Youngbin [Leader], Inseong, Jaeyoon, Dawon, Rowoon, Zuho, Taeyang, Hwiyoung and Chani. Last November 16, 2019, the boys shared a memorable night with Filipino Fantasy.
The set up of the stage have a very large LED screen in the middle and two on each side of it. They placed a second level stage with stairs on top of the original stage. They opened the show with powerful lights, upbeat sound and having the large LED screen open in half for the boys to make their grand entrance. Nine boys wearing glittering suits stood in front of their shouting and excited fans who waited for them to come back. RPM started to play and everyone all knew the song and started singing with them. They thought it was just an ordinary performance until Jaeyoon decided to make the hot venue even hotter as he showed his abs and at that moment the crowd went wild. From the start until the end, SF9 got its Filipino fans either by the edge of their seats or on their feet singing their songs and just enjoying the moment.
One of the moment that I enjoyed was their almost acapella version of their song “Midnight Road”, the way the spotlight was placed over the person who is singing his part at that time. The powerful steps of “Jungle Game” still have that strong effect on me. The romatic dance they did for “O Sole Mio”, their upbeat dance steps for “Mamma Mia”. And their unreleased song for Fantasy called “Beautiful Light”. These are just some of their many beautiful songs.
Aside from doing their performances as a group. They also have their own solo performaces. Some of the songs used on their solo performances are written or produced by them. They started with Youngbin’s “Sic Parvis Magna”. Youngbin even posted a short clip of him doing soundcheck of this song after their concert. Hwiyoung’s Deep heavenly voice was perfect for his song called Snow. Dawon’s rendition of “Bad Guy” by Billie Elish is just amazing. Chani’s performance in Hanbok with “Destiny” will definitely make you love him more. And Zuho’s powerful solo with his song Champaign which he wrote himself. Taeyang’s Dance performance made a lot of fans restless on thier seats. Each one asking for more.
Inseong, partially served as their translator who sometimes translates what they say with his own version. Like how he translated Chani’s message saying they will come back and Chani will show his abs. He also asked Filipino Fantasy to keep on Supporting Rowoon with his drama. He also teased fans by asking them if they love Zuho’s Champaign song after asking fans to sing with him. When the fans said that they love Champaign, Inseong said he love Zuho.
They also showed off the Filipino words that they have learned and since Inseong was not able to do his solo performance the fans are all happy when he gave a sample of his “Versace on the Floor” rendition.
The Fans were also given a chance to sing Advance Happy Birthday in Korean to SF9’s leadernim Youngbin whose birthday is on November 23, 1993.
At the end of the show the Fans were given the chance to be close to them as they were allowed to go near the stage before the Hi-Touch event. Some are lucky to be able to hold hands with them, while some are able to have their phones taken by one of the members who took either video or selfie of them on the phone. The night was indeed a memorable and fun night. Everyone left with smiles on their faces and a happy heart.
