Five facts about Gong Yoo that makes us love him!

Gong Ji Cheol or mostly known as Gong Yoo is definitely one of our OG Oppas. The Coffee Prince star definitely stole our hearts way back in 2007. He still continued to steal hearts in 2016 after returning as Kim Shin in Goblin.

1. He has a soft spot for animals.

In an interview with Kuya Kim last 2017, Gong Yoo revealed that he loves animals! He even joined a campaign to promote an advocacy to ban animal testing in the beauty industry.

Also, Gong Yoo has two Scottish fold cats. He was even joined by one of his cats, Kong Kong in an ad in March 2020:

2. Gong Yoo has an undeniable great acting skills.

He rose to popularity from the 2003 drama, Coffee Prince paired with Yoon Eun Hye. He took a break with Korean dramas as Gong Yoo has turned down numerous lead role offers. (That includes Descendants of the Sun’s lead role!).

3. He loves helping people through advocacies and campaigns.

Even though Gong Yoo is not a user of Social Media, he’s been gaining attention through some of voluntary works that he’s done. Last 2014, he went to Cambodia as a representative for UNICEF to help some of the children in need.

4. His English accent is sooo good.

Just so you know mga bes, Gong Yoo was a radio DJ during his military service. He hosted a show that teaches English lessons to his fellow soldiers.

Gong Yoo is already in his 40s! Pero we can’t deny that he still looks good! Minsan mapapatanong nalang tayo kung ano ba talaga ang skincare routine niya for maintaining his good face and *ehem* body.
