One of the most anticipated Korean drama of 2019 is ‘Touch Your Heart’ starring Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na, also known as the Pichi Couple.
On December 23, tvN released its first video teaser which stirred up the fans with their on-screen chemistry. So before it airs in January, these are some of the facts that you should know about it.
1. ‘Touch Your Heart’ is one of tvN’s first drama offerings this 2019.
It is scheduled to be aired on February 6, 2019 (updated) replacing the drama ‘Encounter‘. tvN (Total Variety Network) is indeed a “Content Trend Leader” in giving us undeniably good Korean dramas like Reply 1988, Goblin, K2, Chicago Typewriter, Because This Is My First Life, Encounter and many more.
2. ‘Touch Your Heart’ is directed by Park Joon Hwa.
He is the director of some Kdramas like ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim’, ‘Because This Is My First Life’ and ‘Bring It On, Ghost’.
3. ‘Touch Your Heart’s is based on a webtoon.
The webtoon entitled ‘진심이 닿다’ was published by KakaoPage in 2016.
4. Lee Dong Wook wasn’t the first choice to play the role of Kwon Jung-rok.
In September 2018, it was revealed that the lead role for the upcoming drama ‘Touch Your Heart’ was first offered to Jung Kyung Ho.
5. It’s the reunion drama project of Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na after Goblin.
The two previously portrayed the role of Grim Reaper/King Wang Yeo and Sunny/Kim Sun in the hit drama series ‘Goblin’. Their on-screen chemistry is being loved by many fans. Even the second video teaser of ‘Touch Your Heart’ is Goblin-inspired!
6. Its story sounds like a spin-off of their characters in Goblin who were reincarnated as an actress and a detective.
‘Touch Your Heart’ tells a story of a romance between a lawyer (Kwon Jung-rok) and a top actress(Oh Yoon-seo), whose life went downhill after being caught up in a scandal with a third generation chaebol. She fakes her position to become the lawyer’s secretary in order to star in a famous writer’s drama.
7. It’s Yoo In Na’s 5th time to portray an actress role in a drama series.
She has done it before in some dramas like ‘Queen and I’, ‘My Love From The Star’, ‘The Greatest Love’ and ‘Goblin’ (reincarnation). She has also done few dramas as either aspiring idol or a former one. We’re pretty sure that she can pull off Oh Yoon-seo’s character.
8. Son Sung Yoon who will play the role of Yoo Yeo-reum, Kwon Jung-rok’s crush in the series has already worked with the same production as Lee Dong Wook.
She played the role of Nam Na-ri, an officemate of Lee Yeon-jae (Kim Sun Ah) in the drama ‘Scent of A Woman’.
