“Lee Jong Suk, pa-higop naman ng kape sa cafe mo.”
Aside from being the hottest kdrama actor now, Lee Jong Suk is also a businessman. Maybe you are all wondering who is that lucky person he’s following on instagram? Well, it’s not a person, but a cafe. His very own “89 mansion”.
He just opened the cafe last year. It’s his dream cafe. He mentioned in a recent interview that opening a cafe and starting up a business was one of his memorable moments in 2017. He got inspired by the coffee shop in While You Were Sleeping, so he decided to open up one. Well at least now we can say.. “While You Were Brewing”.
How To Get There?
Address: Sinsa-dong 523-30, Seoul
How to get there: Sinsa Station(Line 3), Exit 6
It is located at Garosu-gil which is popular for it’s trendy cafe and restaurants. Actually, while on my way there, I saw a kdrama filming location, the filming set of “Tomorrow With You”, I wasn’t able to enter though, pero shempre picture picture muna.
About 89M Mansion
Operating Hours: 11:00AM-10:00PM; CLOSED on Mondays.
It’s a mansion turned into a restaurant, hence the name. Ang ganda ng cafe grabe.
I love it because the walls are mostly in pink, the ambiance is really relaxing and Lee Jongsuk did all the decorations himself.
We went there before Christmas, so the christmas vibes were everywhere. Also, sayang kasi the night before, nandun si LJS, he set up the christmas tree outside. Kaya ayun, inhale exhale nalang ako, marami-raming particles din ni LJS yun. Hahahahaha.
The oppas are everywhere. Nabusog ako kahit hindi naman ako umorder ng kanin, mygad! I am really sure he’s aware that most of his customers are females. Anyways, the oppa waiters are so nice, parang ayaw ko ng matapos umorder (HAHAHA).
The food is quite pricey, ang mahal mo namang mahalin Jongsuk. Anyways, You can try their best seller, 89 Latte. It’s 7,500 KRW / 350 PHP.
They will allow you to take photo ops since most of the people who go there wants to have a souvenir. Just tell the oppa waiters that you want to take photos. They will instruct you to go upstairs, you can stay there for 10 minutes nga lang.
It’s a really must go place when you visit Seoul. It’s really upsetting to know that it closed last September 2020.
