Officially debuting under Groovy Garden Records, the new label under PULP Music Group, MEI MEI is an eight-member Filipina girl group bringing colorful personalities, powerful talent, and proudly Pinoy energy into the spotlight.
From dancers and vocal powerhouses to actresses and multi-talented performers, here’s your guide to getting to know the girls behind the rising pop group everyone’s already talking about.
Alexa — “Spark MEI MEI” 💜
Born on March 13 and instantly recognizable because of the blonde streak in her hair, Alexa is the group’s confident and energetic “Spark MEI MEI,” represented by the color purple.
As part of the dance line, performing comes naturally to her thanks to years of experience in folk dance, hip-hop, pep squad, and even serving as president of a dance club. Off stage, she’s fun, lively, and definitely the type to keep the energy high wherever she goes.
Jhamayka — “Cool MEI MEI” 💙
If cool-girl energy had a face, it would probably be Jhamayka. Born on May 15, this city girl has been dancing since she could barely walk. As part of the dance line, she’s not only a performer but also a choreographer, model, and actress.
Some fans may already recognize her from appearances in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Project Loki, and Seducing Drake Palma, where she stood out as Bernadette. Multifaceted queen behavior? Absolutely.
Ada — “Dolly MEI MEI” 💛
Cute, bright, and full of sunshine energy, Ada perfectly lives up to her title as “Dolly MEI MEI.” Born on April 7 and represented by the color yellow, she’s been singing and dancing since childhood and was highly active in school productions growing up.
But don’t let the adorable visuals fool you — she’s also one of the strongest performers in the dance line and knows exactly how to command attention on stage.
Aerise — “Sweet MEI MEI” 💜
The youngest member of the group, Aerise, was born on June 15 and carries the sweet lilac color as her signature shade.
Nicknamed “Sweet MEI MEI,” she’s as lovable as her title suggests. A member of the dance line, she’s been dancing since childhood and has explored a variety of styles, from hip-hop to modern dance. And yes, she gives major soft-girl energy.
Althea — “Princess MEI MEI” 💗
With her lovely visuals, bubbly personality, and soulful vocals, Althea truly fits her title as “Princess MEI MEI.” Born on May 6 and represented by baby pink, she’s one of the key members of the vocal line and has been involved in music since she was only seven years old.
Some viewers may already know her from The Voice Kids 2016, Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 8: The School Showdown, Wowowin’s Will to Win 2018, and Lola’s Playlist 2017. But wait… she’s also appeared in major film and TV projects including Netflix’s Keys to the Heart, MMFF entry And Ai, Thank You, Suarez: The Healing Priest, and HBO’s Island of Dreams: Food Lore.
Jessie — “Power MEI MEI” ❤️
Represented by the color red, Jessie is the group’s powerhouse vocalist, and trust us, once you hear her sing, you’ll understand why.
Born on July 5 and raised in Hong Kong, Jessie is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, but proudly carries her Filipino roots wherever she goes. Fans may remember her viral performance of Moira Dela Torre’s “Titibo-Tibo” on The Voice Teens Philippines 2020, where her emotional vocals instantly captured attention.
Yuni — “Groovy MEI MEI” 💚
Filipina-Korean member Yuni is easily one of the group’s most multi-talented members. Born on February 6 and represented by green, she has experience in modeling, ballet, hip-hop, violin, and piano, yes, all of that.
Although she’s always loved music, it was during the pandemic that she fully embraced performing, eventually becoming part of the dance line. With her calm aura and sweet smile, she perfectly balances elegance and groove at the same time.
Dina — “Diva MEI MEI” 💖
Completing the lineup is Dina, the hot pink powerhouse known as “Diva MEI MEI.”
Born on May 19 and hailing from Jeddah, Dina naturally found her love for music through family karaoke sessions growing up, honestly, a very relatable Filipino origin story. Her strong vocals eventually led her to become part of the vocal line and even land a spot on the ninth season of Tawag ng Tanghalan. And with vocals like hers? We totally get why.
With eight distinct personalities, impressive talents, and a concept deeply rooted in Filipino culture, MEI MEI is shaping up to become one of the most exciting new names in the OPM scene.
