If you are looking for a drama set in the legal world with a tinge of mystery and comedy, you should definitely check out Bad Prosecutor!

Bad Prosecutor is a legal drama that aired from October 5 to November 10, 2022. It stars Doh Kyungsoo, Lee Se-hee, and Ha Jun.

And if that was not enough to convince you to watch, here are five (spoiler-free) reasons why, personally, I fell in love with this show!

Lovable characters

Jin Jung may appear facetious at times, but when it comes down to solving cases he will be sure to expose the lies. His supervisor, Shin A-ra, gets constant headaches because of him and his shenanigans. However, Shin A-ra will not hesitate to help him should he need it. There is also Jin Jung’s little group, which includes the ever-loyal Lee Chul-ki, the cool and strong Baek Eun-ji, and the hilarious and talented hacker Go Joong-Do.

Catchy OST

Bad Prosecutor’s soundtrack is really catchy. D.O. himself also sang one of the songs, “Bite”, as well as fellow EXO member SUHO sang “Call me a Freak”. A personal favorite of mine would be “DEEP END” by twlv. Check out this Spotify album that includes all the songs in the show!

Compelling story writing

Bad Prosecutor touches on the topic of corruption and abuse of power in the world of law. It shows how greed controls the system, and how it just needs just one person with a pure and solid resolve to make a difference. It may take a long time to get there, but if not you, then who will?

Found family dynamic

Jin Jung’s little group has an endearing dynamic to them that can be likened to a family. While they sometimes poke fun at each other for the small things, they still have each others’ backs at the end of the day.

A special mention would be Park Jae-Kyung and Jin Jung’s relationship. Jae-Kyung acts as a sort of ‘mentor-like’ father figure to Jin Jung, although he sometimes disregards what he says. Typical father-son behavior.

Bad Prosecutor was a pretty good show, and personally, I found it enjoyable. It took contemporary issues seriously, while still including a few lighthearted events here and there to make it not so heavy. The characters were undoubtedly one of the best parts of the show, especially Jin Jung’s group. They supplied laughs here and there but were ready to kick ass at any given time.
