“kiDnap GAME” starring Lee Joon Gi, Kentaro Sakaguchi, Joel Torre, and more star-studded cast members to air on Viu this 2026
Most anticipated suspenseful, dramatic, and tension-filled drama, kiDnap GAME, will be released this year on Viu!


PCCW Media’s MakerVille, in collaboration with renowned Korean production company SimStory and Japan’s Fuji Television, has jointly created the buzzworthy Asian drama kiDnap GAME. It was filmed across multiple locations in Asia, including Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, and Okinawa.
kiDnap GAME tells a story of seven shocking kidnapping cases occurring simultaneously across seven Asian cities. As global media descends into frenzy, a chilling email quietly lands in the inboxes of the victims’ families: “How far are you willing to go to save your loved one? Only one can be saved.”
Fates of seven people with different nationalities, backgrounds, and beliefs are intertwined, each of them assigned a vastly different mission. In this brutal game of survival, time becomes the cruelest enemy. Who is the mastermind behind it all? What lies behind the deadly scheme seemingly destined to claim six lives, leaving only one survivor?

Starring star-studded cast members across seven cities in Asia- Korean actor Lee Joon Gi plays a genius surgeon, Han Ki Joo. Rising to international fame through the acclaimed film The King and the Clown, Lee has since starred in hit dramas including Flower of Evil and Moon Lovers, earning a devoted fanbase across Asia.
Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi transforms into an elite detective, Toshiro Niide. Winner of the Best Supporting Actor award at the Japan Academy Film Prize, Sakaguchi also received Best Actor at the 2025 Global OTT Awards for his performance in the Korean original OTT series What Comes After Love.
Taiwanese actress Alice Ko plays Christina, an influencer and housewife. A two-time Golden Bell Awards Best Actress winner for Marry Me, or Not? and Someday or One Day, Ko also made her literary debut with a novel in 2025.
Stanley Yau from Hong Kong stars as multinational corporate lawyer Andy. A member of the popular boy group MIRROR, Yau has been recognised for his performances in Hong Kong dramas, including Into the Wild.
Carrie Wong from Singapore plays flight attendant Janice. Recognised with the All-Time Favourite Artiste Award in 2026, Wong is widely regarded as one of Singapore’s most popular entertainment personalities.
One of the Philippines’ most respected veteran actors, Joel Torre, portrays taxi driver Miguel. He won Best Actor at the 17th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival for his performance in On the Job.
Lastly, Praew Narupornkamol Chaisang from Thailand plays Ayun, a nightclub hostess. Best known for starring in the Netflix original drama Master of the House, she is one of the most promising young actresses in Thailand.
After three years of meticulous craftsmanship, kiDnap GAME is set to be released in the fourth quarter of this year. It will air on ViuTV in Hong Kong and will also be available on Viu across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South Africa.
