Youngjae to star on new thriller drama “Friendly Rivalry” alongside Hyeri, Jung Soo Bin, Kang Hye Won, and Oh Woo Ri
GOT7’s Youngjae will be starring in the new high-teen mystery thriller “Friendly Rivalry” alongside Hyeri, Jung Soo Bin, Kang Hye Won, and Oh Woo Ri! This marks Youngjae’s first drama appearance in about 3 years since “So Not Worth It” and “Love & Wish” in 2021.
“Friendly Rivalry” is an upcoming TVING drama that follows the story of teenage girls in a fierce competition for survival, who develop a dangerous relationship. It is based on a webtoon of the same name, “Friendly Rivalry”.
Hyeri, an idol-actress known for her various dramas like “Reply 1998,” “My Roommate is a Gumiho,” “May I Help You,” and “Moonshine,” will be playing the role of Yoo Jae Yi, who comes from a privileged family with good looks and a high IQ.
Jung Soo Bin, known for her dramas like “Revenge of Others” and “Chief Detective 1958,” will be playing the role of Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who grew up in an orphanage.
Kang Hyewon, an idol-actress known for her dramas like “Seasons of Blossom” and “Boyhood,” will be playing the role of Joo Ye Ri, the gossip queen at school who’s obsessed with her appearance and luxury items.
Oh Woo Ri, known for her dramas like “Welcome to Samdal-ri” and “A Killer Paradox,” will be playing the role of Choi Kyung, who is constantly stuck in second place because of Yoo Jae Yi.
“Friendly Rivalry” is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2025.
