However, after one unexpected encounter, she comes face-to-face with her childhood friend and ex, Cho Yongpil (Ji Changwook).

Let me give you a glimpse into “Welcome to Samdal-ri” if you still need convincing!

A break from the hustle and bustle of the city life

Most of the story takes place in a small village in Jeju Island. Because of this, storytelling is a bit laid back and has a serene quality to it. It focuses more on finding one’s self and reconnecting with old friends.

Catchy music and relaxing intro

The songs played in the series have sentimental value to it. One of the songs that was constantly being played was “Short Hair”. It’s very catchy!

Childhood friends to exes

Samdal and Yongpil have been broken up for eight years. However their interactions throughout show that they still have that connection. It’s almost like a delicate dance of ‘will they or won’t they?’.

The Three Terrible Sisters: Jindal, Samdal, Haedal

Jindal and Haedal also have stories of their own. They are also quite close with one another and have very funny introductions. How the siblings interact with one another is definitely one of the best parts of the show!

Cha Hayul: The smart cutie

When you watch the show, you will be meeting the cutie that is Cha Hayul. She is very smart and very cute! Also reminds me a bit of Lily from Modern Family.
