Colorful stages and a vibrant night with Solar during her “COLOURS” concert in Manila
PH MOOMOOs and YONGSOONs were in for a treat with Philippines being the first stop for Solar’s solo concert tour. Following MAMAMOO’s “My Con” tour stop in Manila in 2023, Solar once again met Filipino fans for her 2nd concert “COLOURS” held in The Theatre at Solaire last June 16, 2024.

Here are some unforgettable highlights of that wonderful night:
Dynamic performances
Solar opened her solo concert by wowing the audience with her powerful vocals and remarkable stage presence. “Magandang gabi. Kamusta po? Ako po si Solar. Welcome to Solar 2nd Concert COLOURS. I’m so happy to see you all here,” Solar greeted her fans enthusiastically.
Solar prepared a variety of performances, showing her versatility with upbeat tracks like Colors, Raw, Spit It Out, Big Booty, and But I; emotion-filled songs like Empty, Only Longing Grows, Love Has Gone, and Star Wind Flower Sun; and soothing songs like Where the Wind Rises, Easy Peasy, and Hello.
In addition, Solar presented an interesting “Honey series” section, consisting of her honey-related songs Mellow, Honey Honey, Honey Bee, and Honey.
Special musical section
Another memorable part of the concert was Solar’s spectacular renditions of her song numbers C’est La Vie, The Girl I Used To Be, and Last Moment from her play Matahari, giving the fans a sneak peek of her impressive musical acting skills.
Solar’s delivery of the lines and portrayal of the character were truly amazing to watch as it proved how talented and passionate she is as an artist!
Good time with fans
During the concert, the strong bond between Solar and her fans was evident. Solar showed big smiles with the fans’ loud cheers and claps for her performances, and she looked touched when the crowd chanted her name and “Best leader!” multiple times.
Solar also had precious interactions with fans throughout the night. She really made the fans feel comfortable talking to her. Upon hearing how she was being called ‘Mhiema’, she responded back with “Yes, I’m your Mhiema,” bringing joy to Filipino fans.
As a gift for Solar, PH MOOMOOs and YONGSOONs prepared a special video and hand banners with a message for her. Solar thanked the fans and said she felt teary-eyed because she didn’t expect that kind of event.
Meanwhile, Solar shared some of her memories of attending an elementary school in the Philippines when she was young. She remembered how she felt shocked when she saw that eggs were being sold as food, even with a chick inside (fans told her it was called balut). She also revealed a funny story about a weird experience that she had when she lived here!
Exhilarating encore
For her encore, Solar went near to fans by entering off-stage and going through the aisles around the audience’s seats. With the fans seeing her up close, the event felt more intimate and extra special.
Solar performed energetic songs for the encore, getting the audience hyped and jumping with her. She also granted requests from the audience and briefly sang Unholy, Blue Bird, Zinggle Zinggle, and Adrenaline.
To everyone’s surprise, Solar prepared a cover of the familiar and beloved song for Filipino fans, BINI’s Pantropiko. As fans couldn’t get enough, Solar even sang it for a second time!
Throughout the concert, Solar’s bright and lovable personality really showed. On top of her skills as an idol, Solar’s genuine self and dedication to giving the best performances won everyone’s hearts. We look forward to the day you come back here, Solar!
“Ingat kayo lahat. Thank you. See you soon. I miss you, I really miss you. And mahal kita,” Solar said as a goodbye to everyone.
