Let’s get to know DRIPPIN’s Chajumma: Cha Junho

Pre-debut

Cha Junho is a South Korean singer under Woollim Entertainment. He was born in South Chungcheong, South Korea on July 9, 2002.

When he was in fifth grade, Junho joined the school’s traditional music club and began playing the “daegeum” (Korean bamboo flute). In junior high, he was elected as the junior student council president and began to harbor aspirations of becoming a singer.

Produce X 101

Cha Junho participated in Mnet’s boy group survival reality show ‘Produce X 101‘ as Woollim Entertainment trainee. The program aired from May 3 through July 19, 2019. Junho finished in ninth place, thus becoming a member of X1.

X1 Debut

Along with Kim Yohan, Kim Wooseok, Han Seungwoo, Song Hyeongjun, Cho Seungyoun, Son Dongpyo, Lee Hangyul, Nam Dohyon, Kang Minhee and Lee Eunsang, Junho debuted as a member of X1.

On August 27, 2019 under Swing Entertainment, the group made its debut with their EP ‘Emergency: Quantum Leap.’

Following the Produce 101 vote manipulation issue, agencies who represent the members announced that the group that had been initially contracted for five years has disbanded. Thus, the group officially disbanded last January 6, 2020.

DRIPPIN Debut

It was announced on September 4, 2020, that Junho will make his debut with Woollim’s new boy group, DRIPPIN. The group debuted on October 28, 2020, with the extended play ‘Boyager,’ a combination of the word “boy” and “voyager.”

Now, DRIPPIN has made a comeback with a dark appearance. Due to its captivating, enigmatic, and dark nature, the group’s new, intense concept appears sleek and edgy to the viewers.
