With the rise of K-pop groups here and there, 2020 has been filled with comebacks and debut.
One group that captured the hearts of K-pop fans this year is Woollim Entertainment’s Golden Child.
Golden Child did 3 comebacks this year with 3 different concepts and it’s safe to say that Golden Child made it big this 2020!
Here are the 3 albums/title tracks Golden Child released this year:
1. Without You, released on January 29, 2020
Without You is a repackage version of their first studio album titled Re-boot.
The title track for this album is Without You.
Additionally, their hit song WANNABE is a part of this album.
Golden Child also performed WANNABE in Mnet’s “Road to Kingdom”. You can watch their powerful performance here:
2. Take A Leap, released on June 23, 2020
Golden Child came back with yet another dark concept with Take A Leap.
The title track for this album is One (Lucid Dream).
3. Pump It Up, released on October 7, 2020
Finally, Golden Child will never let 2020 end without their last comeback with Pump It Up.
The title track for this album is Pump It Up, which has a brighter and livelier concept compared to their first 2 comebacks this year.
Pump It Up also received its first win last October 13, 2020. That same day is Golden Child’s Seungmin’s birthday and the group celebrated their win and his birthday on stage.
With Pump It Up‘s first win, this marks Golden Child’s second win since their debut. Their first win was for WANNABE last December 26, 2019.
Moreover, Golden Child started a trilogy project last year called “self-discovery trilogy”.
The trilogy started with their 2019 hit song WANNABE, followed by Without You, and finally concluded with One (Lucid Dream).
Aside from the title tracks, all of the B-side tracks are commendable and it shows that Golden Child releases the best discography.
It’s indeed a powerful year for Golden Child. They are a group to watch out for and they’ll for sure release more albums and singles in the future.
