It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” is one of the newest Korean Drama from tvN starring Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji.

This drama offers an unusual romance between two people who will end up healing each other’s wounds. It is also a comeback drama of Kim Soo Hyun after his military enlistment so most of the fans are really excited to see him back on small screen.

If you haven’t watch it yet, then let me give you five (5) reasons why you should include this drama on your watchlists!

THE CHEMISTRY!

There is a “charm and chemistry” between Kim Soo Hyun & Seo Ye Ji’s team up that we didn’t expect to be this good on-screen.

In fact, some fans actually find them look similar with each other. Undeniably beautiful together!

In this series, Kim Soo Hyun plays the role of Moon Gang Tae, a caregiver who works in a hospital for psychiatric patients. He is also a loving brother to Sang Tae (Oh Jung Se) who has an autism so as much as possible he always tries to do everything just to make ends meet.

On the other hand, Seo Ye Ji’s role as Ko Mun Yeong is very wild and carefree. She is a well-known fairy tale writer with an anti-social personality which means she can be manipulative and uncontrollable at times.

Despite their character differences, will these two find love with each other? Let’s see on the rest of the episodes!

THE STORY & GENRE

This series showcased about Mental Health which is very timely and sensitive topic today.

However, they were able to pull it off nicely and creative! They used some visual effects to represent the point of view of the characters with psychiatric disorder. Of course, they balance it with a kick of comedy and humor.

Oh Jung Se plays the character of Moon Sang Tae which has an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

THE CASTS

They produced a good casting on this show! Most of them are award-winning actors and well-known veterans.

They made an amazing job on making each characters equally exposed and relatable on this show!

The casts includes: Kim Mi Kyung, Kim Chang Wan, Oh Jung Se, Kim Joo Hun, Jang Young Nam, Park Jin Joo, and Kang Ki Doong.

FUN FACT: Did you know that Kim Chang Wan and Kim Soo Hyun reunites in this series after “My Love from the Star”?

He previously played the role of Mr. Jang which is the closest friend of our alien, Do Min Joon. It feels so good to see them again together after 7 years!

THE OSTs

Bes! Once you heard the OSTs playing, for sure, you will find yourself searching for it online.

That’s how good the ost is! The melody and the beat will definitely give you an LSS (Last Song Syndrome) feeling. You’ll be hook once it play during the highlight of each episodes.

THE CINEMATOGRAPHY

The production really invests on quality CGI effects and animations on this drama. This made the drama looks like a fantasy series even though it’s not!

The transition of each scenes are so smooth plus the landscape shots are so beautiful. There is no dull moments!
