The new tvN drama Oh My Baby started with a bang last Wednesday, May 13, 2020. The new drama recorded an average nationwide viewership of 2.95% after two episodes.

With its boost in ratings, this just proves that Oh My Baby is a drama you should look forward to!

Synopsis

Oh My Baby is a story about a career-oriented woman named Jang Ha Ri who doesn’t want to be married but wanted to birth a child. It is a four-angle unusual romance of Jang Na Ra together with Go Joon, Park Byung Eun, and Jung Gun Joo.

Moreover, it will also depict the life of single-parents and how they take care of their kids. As well as balancing their time between personal and professional life.

If you’re looking for a heartwarming family drama, here are 5 reasons why Oh My Baby is the drama that you need to watch now:

1. Jang Na Ra is the female lead

If you’ve been watching her long enough, you are aware that most of her dramas are a tearjerker.

Whenever Jang Na Ra acts, I’m always blown away by her. She has this kind of charm that makes you dive right into the story.

She’s a good crier too, and I’m sure that we’re going to cry our hearts out until the end of the drama!

Additionally, Jang Na Ra’s character, Jang Ha Ri, is very relatable and I’m sure most people in their 30s (or any age bracket) can relate to.

2. The chemistry between Jang Na Ra and the three male leads

Not everything is revealed on the first two episodes but one thing’s for sure: Jang Na Ra and the three male leads have an amazing chemistry!

The drama tells the story of Jang Na Ri who doesn’t want to get married but wants to have children. Now, what is the role of three men? They are the candidates as the father of her baby.

Who are these three leading men?

Photographer Han Yi Sang (Go Joon), childhood friend Yoon Jae Young (Park Byung Eun), and younger co-worker Choi Kang Eu Ddeum (Jung Gun Joo).

We are not sure yet if she’ll develop a romance with any of these men and that’s something we need to look out for!

3. The topic of the drama is not common on many Korean dramas

Having kids without marriage is a topic that has not been discussed on many dramas and I’m excited to see how this drama will showcase that.

Additionally, this may be taboo in Korean culture too, and on this modern day, it’s time to tell a story of someone who’s been in this kind of situation.

As someone in her 20s, it’s good to learn more about this topic. This drama will be a great eye-opener for everyone as well.

4. The story is realistic and relatable

On this modern day, some may find that getting married is not a priority anymore.

More people are career-driven now and instead of getting married, they just work hard and maybe have a little fun on the side.

By just two episodes, we see in this drama how the lives of the characters evolve in their careers.

5. A drama with life lessons

As a viewer, I have already learned so much in just two episodes.

This drama will make you reflect in your life. I guarantee that you won’t finish an episode without learning something.

This is the story of most people on this day and through this drama, we can see how their lives are.

It’s a drama you shouldn’t miss!
