If you are looking for a quick, to the point, teen problem short drama then this is the one. I literally binged watch this drama and it was amazing.
“A-TEEN” is a teenage school romance web drama. It has 24 episodes with each drama running for approximately 10 minutes, hence, 4 hours is all you need to finish this series.
Following the first season aired from July 2018 to September 2018, “A-TEEN” received attention and love both in and out of Korea. The series broke web drama records with more than 140 million views.
Thus being said, here are 5 reasons why you should watch this teen romance web drama.
1. The story is predictable but not boring.
The drama deals with teen problems, friends, crush, love, in search of personality. The story was not that original, only the way story line was told was interesting. I mean sometimes you think that some scenes are predictable but not boring, they tried to make it different even if the story was ordinary and predictable.
The story lines are believable and seem true to life for many high schoolers. They follow common issues in the lives of many people such as first crushes, friendships, studying habits, family issues and more.
The ending was not as expected but objectively, the drama is worthy.
2. Each character has their own interesting back story.
The cast did a good job. Most of the actors of are rookie actors and actresses. After the first season, many actors have risen in popularity.
You might recognize a couple of the actors from other things. One was in Shopping King Louis as a supporting character.
Kim Dong Hee has been acting as Cha Seo Joon in the very popular drama SKY Castle. He earned even more popularity and spotlight with his acting in the drama.
Shin Ye Eun signed with JYP Actors and was casted in the drama He Is Psychometric with GOT7‘s JinYoung.
Shin Seung Ho got casted in Love Alarm with Kim So Hyun and Moment of Eighteen.

Do Hana and Kim Hana are very pretty. Although Yeo Bo Ram’s character was far more entertaining, I was left wanting for more of Yeo Bo Ram. To be honest, I was mesmerized by the lead female actress playing Do Hana. She made this drama shine and now I have a massive girl crush on her.
3. Aesthetically pleasing to eyes and ears.
Both the cinematography and the actors.
The OSTs are very cute and catchy and has a modern vibe to it.
4. Short, sweet, and accessible.

5. The series got a Webtoon and a Season 2!
After the season one, a webtoon was published with the same title on December 2018. Nothing is sure but people say that the aim of the webtoon was to give more information to the viewers. You can check out the webtoon here. It’s in korean though, but still.

The Verdict?
It’s just a perfectly simple cute yet has enough drama type of series. It also felt quite refreshing to watch. I absolutely recommend this series for people who love the high school theme and high quality short episodes.
