Cha Eun-woo and Shin Se-kyung are considering an offer to star in an upcoming historical drama

According to some sources, Astro‘s Cha Eun-woo is currently in talks to play the lead role in MBC’s upcoming historical drama, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung (Literal Title)

“Cha Eun-woo has been offered a role in an upcoming historical drama and he’s reviewing the offer positively.” Fantagio said.

“Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung” tells the story of the female historians at the palace during 19th century. It tackles about gender equality, social status and the role of women during that time. It will also tell the romance between a female historian and the crown prince.

If Cha Eun-woo decides to accept the offer, this will be his first lead role in a major network’s miniseries. Cha is known for his role in JTBC’s My ID is Gangnam Beauty.

Meanwhile, actress Shin Se-kyung also received an offer to play the female lead role. According to a source from her agency, she is currently reviewing the offer. Shin is known for her role in Black Knight and Bride of the Water God.

“Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung” is set to air on July following Spring Night starring Han Ji-min and Jung Hae-in.
