Recently, JTBC released the teaser and stills of their upcoming romantic drama entitled The Third Charm starring Seo Kang-joon and Model-turned-Actress Esom.
Esom is known for her leading role in the 2014 korean movie, Scarlet Innocence. But did you know that before she became an actress, she started as a model? She made her debut in 2008 on Check It Girl, an Mnet model selection program.
Her real name is Lee So-young. She was born on January 30, 1990. Her screen name Esom / Lee Som was given to her because she has a lot of body hair like a dog known as Som Mung-chi.

Esom originally wanted to become a model but she realized that she wanted to become an actress.

In 2015, Esom and Rapper Zion T. was reportedly dating. But later, their respective agencies confirmed that they are just good friends and not in a relationship.
In K-drama world, she was known as the fierce and liberated friend of Jung So-min’s character in 2017’s hit korean drama, Because this is my first life.
The Third Charm is set to premiere on September 28, 2018 every fridays and Saturdays at 11pm KST.
