South Korea is popular for its delicacies. There are mouthwatering foods everywhere. Mygad! #FoodIsLifeu talaga bes!
Things I noticed:
- Most of their dishes are spicy, kahit yung “not spicy” nila is spicy parin. Hahahaha. But then the weather is cold kaya masarap kumain ng maanghang.
- They also love side dishes, laging full yung table namin kahit saan kami kumain.
A great tip is to book restaurant reservations, and we found out that Klook is the easiest way to do it (Super hassle free promise). Pagdating mo sa restaurant, papakita mo nalang yung klook reservation mo and they’ll immediately assist you. One tip lang is to go there according to your time of reservation.
1. The ever popular “Egg Bun” in Myeongdong
It costs around 2,000 Won. It’s good, it taste like pancake of course with egg on top, ang sarap din nung may pa sesame seeds na flavor! It’s a must try when you visit the place.
2. Dakgalbi (Korean Stir-fried Spicy Chicken With Cheese) in Gangnam
It costs around 10,000 Won per order. Yung rice was an additional 1,000 Won. It’s good, maanghang siya talaga, I think most of their food kahit mild spicy lang maanghang na lalo na for someone who don’t like spicy foods. The serving is big. Nakakabusog din yung side dishes nila. I guarantee you mabubusog ka talaga sa meal na ‘to.
3. Korean Mochi Bread
Actually we just saw this one while we were walking sa Subway, I can’t remember what subway pero Bread and Co. yung store. Nakasale sya at that time so we bought it for 1000 Won (Original price was 2,000 Won). It’s super yummy. Yung crust palang nya is tasty na. Para syang korean version ng pandesal. Hahaha.
4. Steamed Bun in Nami Island
It costs 1000 Won. And it’s a must try when you visit Nami Island. Para syang siopao na may mongo filling.
5. Fish Cake Udon Noodles and Cold Buckwheat Noodles in Nami Island.
Both Noodles costs around 16,000 Won. After the long walks in Nami, I am sure mapapagod ka rin, at maghahanap ng foods kasi nga #FoodIsLifeu hahaha. Anyways, there are lots of restaurants to choose from naman.
Pero tip lang, if you want to hot food, wag nyong orderin yung cold buckwheat noodles, hahahaha, literal na may yelo kasi bes, and maginaw sa Nami kaya hot food is preferable. Hahahaha.
6. Fishcake Bar in Myeongdong
It costs around 5000 Won. It’s fishcake wrapped in sausage, crab stick, cheese, rice cake, etc. Super tasty nya and a must try while walking shopping around.
7. Fish Filled Bread
It costs 2000 Won. It crunchy and filled and has many fillings to choose from. Ang pinili namin yung may Nutella filling.
8. Restaurant In Front Of WM Ent.
Joey loves B1A4 especially Sandeul kaya we went to WM Ent and we found a restaurant in front of their building, nagulat kami may signature ni Sandeul and it happens na may favorite meal sya dun. Hindi nga lang namin inorder kasi we are on a budget, 24000 Won kasi. Hahahah. Kaya we just ordered this meal ma for two na for only 8000 Won and it did not disappoint. Super busog. Ang bait bait pa ni Ahjussi!
9. Convenience Store Snacks
- Banana Milk- 1500 Won
- Triangle Kimbap- 1,500 Won
- Lunchbox- 4000 Won
Hahahaha.
10. Bulgogi Burger
Kapag nag SoKor ka bes, try this Mcdonald’s Bulgogi Burger. It’s yummy. Halos twice ata kaming sinalba nito sa gutom while we were there. It costs us 8,000 for two na yun.
11. Gogigo Shop Assorted Grilled Pork
We reserved this booking via Klook. You can book this via Klook here.
The pork melts in the mouth. Ang sarap ng mga side dishes nila. You can order rice with soup for only 3,000korean won.
12. Gogigo Seasoned Beef Ribs Meal
If you want to enjoy eating in private. Pwede nyong itry ito. Meron syang nakareserve na room for you. It’s good for 3-4 person. You can book this via Klook here.
13. Oppa Dak Chicken Restaurant
This restaurant is located in Myeongdong. Super sarap ng chicken nila. They serve different kinds of chicken dishes. Pero bes, tip lang, wala silang rice. You can book it via Klook here.
14. Sulbing (Korean Shaved Ice Desert)
Don’t miss this desert. Ang legit ng lasa nya bes. Super sarap. The ice is powderized, nakakaamaze, literal na melts in your mouth. I am not exagerrating, ang sarap nya talaga. Malaki din yung serving nya so sulit siya. Around 7,000-8, 000 korean won sya. And limited edition lang yung BTOB sulbing nila kaya yun na yung inorder namin.
15. Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Spiced Pig’s Trotters-Monjok Bossam Set Menu
Gusto naming matry yung Pig’s Trotter since laging nababanggit sa kdrama. So we decided na tikman sya. This is good for 3-4 person. Super sarap nya. Especially the soup. You can book it via Klook here.
16. Four Seasons Hanbang Chicken Restaurant- Ginseng Chicken Soup & Grilled Pork Belly
Sa lahat ng pinabook namin. Dito ako nag enjoy. I am a big fan of Ginseng Chicken Soup. And also, gustung gusto ko yung ambiance nya, yung nasa lapag. Basta must try bes!
17. Nolboo Budae Jjigae & Cheolpangui
Ang interesting ng dish na ito bes. It’s actually a buffet. You’ll be given a soup base tapos ikaw na bahala maglagay ng toppings. Narealize ko na Ramen is Life. And ang tawag sa dish na ito is Korean Army Soup. You can book it via Klook here.
18. Hanam Pig House (Multiple Branches) in Seoul – BBQ Mixed Dish
Anyways, the food is good and the staff is accommodating. You can book it via Klook here.
21. Korean Snacks
Mga bes, if you are buying korean snacks for pasalubong, i advise dun kayo sa “jamsil station, exit 4” meron dung store na nagbebenta ng super murang snacks, the best!
Oppa is life pero Food is lifer. Hahaha. Happy eating! Mokja!
