IU and Byeon Woo Seok’s drama reunion is on the rise!
Disney+ announced on April 17 that the recently released romantic comedy Perfect Crown has become the number one most viewed Korean series on Disney+ globally (based on five days of views). The drama premiered last April 10 and kicked off with an impressive viewership rating of 7.8% and became the third-highest premiere in MBC’s Friday-Saturday dramas.
Perfect Crown is set in a reimagined modern-day Korea that operates under a constitutional monarchy. A touching romantic comedy series that depicts the romance between a chaebol heiress named Sung Hee Joo and a prince named Lee Ahn.
IU portrays the role of Sung Hee Joo, the beautiful and intelligent second daughter of a conglomerate family, and Byeon Woo Seok plays the role of Prince Lee Ahn, who doesn’t have anything despite being the son of the king.
Star-studded cast members include Noh Sang Hyun as Prime Minister Min Jung Woo, Gong Seung Yeon as Queen Yoon Yi Rang, Yu Subin as aide Choi Hyun, and Lee Yeon as secretary Do Hye Jung.
