Kim Sejeong is one of the multi-talented artists, and her journey in the entertainment industry has been an inspiration to all SESANGs.

From her humble beginnings on the reality show Produce 101 and becoming a member of girl groups I.O.I and Gugudan, to being a well-loved South Korean actress. She proved that she can do everything. Her positive aura and her charm on stage and on screen are some of the reasons why the fans love her.

Since her drama debut to this moment, Sejeong never failed to impress us with her versatility in acting. Here are her dramas you should check out!

1. School 2017

School 2017 is the 7th installment in KBS’s School series, revolving around the story of high school students as they face the challenges of balancing their studies and life under pressure. The story is also about Ra Eun Ho and her friends catching “Student X” at their school.

This series marks Kim Sejeong’s drama debut, where she showcased her exceptional acting prowess in the role of Ra Eun Ho.

I love this drama so much, and the storyline and her chemistry with Kim Jung Hyun are just so perfect. Also, because of Sejeong’s amazing portrayal of her role, she won the Best New Artist award at the 2017 KBS Drama Awards.

2. I Wanna Hear Your Song

It is a rom-com mystery series that tells the story of a woman named Hong Yi Young, who suffers from insomnia and witnesses a murder case, but she doesn’t remember it. Her path crosses with Jang Yoon, who is bad at singing, but he is a pianist in the orchestra. He will help Yi Young with her insomnia and tries to dig into the mystery of the murder case. If you love classical music, this is perfect for you, and it also features a unique storyline that will leave you in awe.

3. The Uncanny Counter

The Uncanny Counter tells the story of the “counters” who have different supernatural abilities and uses that to fight and catch the evil spirits that cause havoc in the world.

This drama is one of my favorite fantasy-action series, and one of Kim Sejeong’s roles that I really like. She’s full of charisma playing the role of Do Ha Na, every action sequences were jaw-dropping. I enjoyed watching the 2 seasons of this drama, season 3 please!

4. Business Proposal

Business Proposal is a webtoon-based drama that depicts the story of a regular office employee who hides her identity to go on a blind date in place of her friend without any idea that her date is her company’s CEO.

A rom-com series with no dull moments! I really enjoyed watching this drama. The overflowing romantic and comical chemistry of Sejeong and Hyo Seop is just so perfect!

5. Today’s Webtoon

Today’s Webtoon is the Korean remake of the Japanese drama Sleepeeer Hit! that revolves around a former judo athlete who struggles to become a true webtoon editor.

If you love reading webtoons, this drama is perfect for you because you’ll get to see the world of being a webtoon artist, and you’ll get to appreciate more of their talents. This drama will somehow inspire you to reach your dreams.

6. Brewing Love

Brewing Love depicts the comical and romantic love story between a female sales representative in a liquor company and a male local brewer. Se Jeong plays Chae Yong Joo, who is good at hiding her true emotions.

This drama is so good! It’s a slice-of-life drama that will strike everyone’s heart. Jong Won and Sejeong’s chemistry will definitely make your heart flutter. They are so cute together!

7. Moon River

The Moon Flows in this River is a drama that depicts the story of a crown prince who has lost his laughter and a woman who experiences memory loss. It is described as the “historical version of Secret Garden.”

If you love watching rom-com series with a story that features soul switching, this is highly recommended for you!

Because of Kang Tae Oh and Kim Sejeong’s overflowing chemistry in the drama, they won a Best Couple Award in the 2025 MBC Drama Awards, which is enough to convince everyone that their tandem is really great in this series.
