‘A Werewolf Boy’, an extraordinary movie adaptation that will surely touch your hearts!

On January 12th, ‘A Werewolf Boy‘ starring Rabin Angeles as Boy and Angela Muji as Sara, successfully held its red carpet premiere at SM Megamall Cinema 2.

It is the Philippine adaptation of the 2012 Korean blockbuster hit starring Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Young, making it highly anticipated, especially for fans who have watched the original movie.
The red carpet was graced by Rabin and Angela, award-winning director Crisanto B. Aquino, as well as the other cast of ‘A Werewolf Boy‘. The special premiere night was also attended by the honorable bosses of Viva Entertainment, Viva artists, Rabin and Angela’s family, friends, and fans.
RabGeL’s debut movie
One word: Impressive
Actually, the word might even be a little underwhelming considering what Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji have shown in this film. They were so good!
For someone who has not seen any of their previous acting projects, I didn’t have much expectations. But the released trailers prior to the premiere night were good selling points, making me want to finally watch the film in excitement.
Rabin did a great job in portraying such a complex role for his first-ever movie. A character that only expresses his feelings without talking, he was able to convey every emotion and touch the hearts of the viewers. Everyone reacted and squealed in kilig on his memorable appearances on screen, proving that his portrayal of Boy will surely make you adore and love him throughout the whole movie.
On the other hand, Angela showed a very engaging charm in her portrayal of Sara. Her natural delivery of lines and beautiful aura with the other cast highlighted her scenes and made her shine, leaving a lasting impact on the movie.
Angela has also shown her talent in singing with the Tagalog version of the movie’s OST ‘My Prince,’ which added the feels in the movie.

RabGel’s chemistry made the movie more appealing. Two good-looking people who definitely have what it takes to be great actors soon. Whether they stay together (as a loveteam) on their next projects or explore the industry individually, they showed through this debut movie the potential they have to make it big!
What sets this adaptation apart
The setting. The scenery. The nostalgia. These are only some of the factors that the movie adaptation gave us differently and made it stand out in its own way.
A huge part that makes it more fun and relatable are the comedic punches showcasing the brilliance of Candy Pangilinan and the team who decided to add those elements to the scenes. The laughs and applause of the viewers proved how effective it is, especially for those who love and understand our humor.
Also adding excellence to this movie are the supporting actors who played their roles well, Albie Casiño, who made his character more annoying because of his maangas vibe, and, of course, the special participation of veteran actress Lorna Tolentino, who made the movie very heartwarming in its totality.
Get ready to laugh, get kilig, and cry (a lot) while watching this movie!
Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, this adaptation lives up to the legacy of its original version. It will definitely make us proud!
Produced by Viva Films and Studio Viva in partnership with CJ ENM, ‘A Werewolf Boy’ is NOW SHOWING in cinemas nationwide!
