Viu Unveils “Love, Siargao” Starring Nadine Lustre and Alden Richards
Viu, PCCW’s leading video streaming platform, has officially announced its newest Filipino Original series, Love, Siargao, a romance-drama set against the stunning backdrop of one of the Philippines’ most iconic destinations. The 26-episode series has been greenlit for an exclusive premiere on Viu in Q2 2026.
Headlining the series are two of the country’s most celebrated stars: Philippines’ Multimedia Princess Nadine Lustre, managed by Viva Artists Agency, and Asia’s Multimedia Star and Box Office King Alden Richards, managed by GMA Sparkle. Joining them is rising Korean actor Choi Bo-min, formerly a member of K-pop group Golden Child, marking an exciting international addition to the cast.
Love, Siargao is inspired by the local lore known as the “Siargao Curse,” a myth that suggests visitors to the island either never leave—or inevitably lose their heart to love. The story follows Jao (Alden Richards) and Kara (Nadine Lustre), two strangers affected by different versions of this curse. With contrasting beliefs and clashing principles, their journey navigates the emotional highs and lows of modern romance, ultimately reshaping their lives and destinies.
Beyond its love story, the series serves as a visual tribute to Siargao Island, showcasing its world-famous beaches, vibrant food culture, distinctive Filipino experiences, and the warmth and hospitality of local life. The project aims to celebrate the island not only as a romantic setting but also as a premier global tourist destination.
To bring this vision to the screen, Viu is collaborating with Viva Entertainment, a multimedia company with more than four decades of experience in film and television production, which will serve as the line producer for the series.
Love, Siargao will be available exclusively on the Viu app, free to download on the App Store, Google Play, Huawei App Gallery, and select smart TVs, as well as via direct streaming on the web.
