The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) launches Reel Connections, its first-ever student short film competition, inviting young storytellers to bring their creativity to the big screen. And the best part? The grand prize is an unforgettable trip to South Korea to attend the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF)!

This competition is part of the 2025 Korean Film Festival, an annual celebration bringing Korean cinema and world-class films to Filipino audiences. KCC is now inviting young filmmakers to showcase their passion for cinema while sharing their unique take on the theme ‘Korea in the Philippines,’ which highlights the shared ties between two nations.
The winner(s) will have their work featured at this year’s Korea Film Festival (KFF) and get the chance to attend the prestigious Busan International Film Festival (BIFF)!
KCC Director Kim Myeongjin emphasizes that this competition will not only be about winning but will also be an opportunity for students to create stories that connect cultures, spark conversations, and potentially launch their film careers.
