Live multiple lives in “See You in My 19th Life”
There’s a certain sadness to being the only one who remembers everything. Imagine if a group of friends does not remember your birthday, but you remember theirs. However, imagine if you remember the lifetime you spent with somebody, but they don’t even recognize you.
“See You In My 19th Life” is a 2023 television series starring Shin Hyesun as Ban Jieum, Ahn Bohyun as Moon Seoha, Ha Yoonkyung as Yoon Chowon, and Ahn Dong-goo as Ha Doyoon. It was adapted from a webtoon under the same name and follows Jieum, who remembers her past lives.
Here are four spoiler-free reasons to watch it if you are still not yet convinced!
Heart-wrenching past
“Ms. Ban, do you know how strange you are?”
Ban Jieum remembers her past lives and sets out to find her love from her 18th life. However, things start to change once she realizes that her 18th and 19th lives are tragically intertwined.
Kilig with Jieum and Seoha
“Let’s just put our families aside. I decided to only think about us two.”
Jieum constantly teases Seoha, who always ends up a bit flustered with her advances. When he starts reciprocating is a different kind of kilig though! You’ll find yourself constantly smiling at their moments together.

Strong and independent Jieum
“That must have been tough. Whatever happened, you did well.”
Shin Hyesun did an amazing job portraying Jieum. Her character was strong and knew when to take things into her own hands. But Hyesun also did a nice job portraying her more subtle emotions. She was able to differentiate the sweet Jieum from the serious Jieum really well.
She is certainly making her way up on my list of favorite actresses!
Found family
“It must have been hard growing up alone. I’ll take care of you now.”
Jieum’s real family was not ideal, so Ae-kyung and Jieum’s relationship was precious to me. Despite not being blood relatives, they care deeply for each other. Their first encounter was surely something that brought a smile to my face.

“See You in My 19th Life” is filled with drama, kilig, and the concept of reincarnation. If that is something right down your alley, be sure to give it a chance! It is available on Netflix. #SeeYouInMy19thLife
