More star-studded cast members join Gang Dong Won and Jun Ji Hyun in the Disney+ series, “Tempest”
New adrenaline-fueled spy thriller series will debut on Disney+ next year!
Tempest tells the story of a diplomat and an international special agent who try to unfold the truth behind the attack that threatens the future stability of the Korean peninsula.
Jun Ji Hyun transforms into a highly accomplished diplomat named Moon Joo, a former ambassador to the United States, and Gang Dong Won plays the role of San Ho, a mysterious international special agent.
On November 28, more stars are confirmed to join Jun Ji Hyun and Gang Dong Won in this most anticipated spy thriller series. Star-studded cast members feature Kim Hae Sook, Lee Mi Sook, Yoo Jae Myung, Park Hae Joon, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Hee, Joo Jong Hyuk, Won Ji An, and American actor, John Cho (Star Trek) who will star as the US Assistant Secretary of State.
The following day, November 29, stellar lineup of Hollywood actors was revealed this include, Michael Gaston (Spenser Confidential) as the Secretary of Defense, Spencer Garrett (Air Force One) as US President Hauser, Christopher Gorham (The Lincoln Lawyer) as a military contractor, as well as Joel De La Fuente (The Man In The High Castle), Alicia Hannah-Kim (Cobra Kai), Brooke Smith (Silence of the Lambs), Jacob Bertrand (Cobra Kai), Romy Rosemont (Barry), Tom Lenk (American Horror Stories) and more.
Tempest is helmed by Director Kim Hee Won who recently worked on the hit rom-com series, Queen of Tears. He is also the man behind the dramas, Little Women and Vincenzo.
It is co-directed by Korea’s leading martial arts director, Heo Myung Haeng, who previously worked on The Outlaws 4, and is written by writer Jung Seo Kyoung, the woman behind the film The Handmaiden and the series, Little Women.
Tempest is one of the upcoming Korean series featured at the recent 2024 Disney Content Showcase. Get ready to stream it on Disney+ next year!
