Choi Jin Hyuk successfully held his memorable first-ever “Day and Night” Fan-con tour in Manila!
Filipino fans swooned with Choi Jin Hyuk‘s charm during his fan-con tour in Manila!
On November 9, Choi Jin Hyuk delights Filipino fans at his first-ever “Day and Night” fan-con tour in Manila held at the New Frontier Theater.
The star of the night entered the stage while serenading fans with his song, Best Wishes to You, one of the soundtracks of his drama, Gu Family Book. It was followed by the song I Miss You and the crowd warmly welcomed him with loud cheers. Finally, we got to hear his beautiful deep voice live!
He said this is his first time in Manila and he is very happy to see his Filipino fans in person. “It feels new to actually come here for the first time in Manila. I prepared a lot of stuff for you guys so I hope you can enjoy for the rest of the time.”
He mentioned that he once went to Clark City and played golf there and wanted to come to Manila. When Kim Min Kyung asked what he felt about finally coming to Manila, he said when he visited “It’s Showtime,” the passion of Filipino fans was so different. He said he loves the energy of the Filipino fans so much.
Miss Night and Day
In the “Miss Night and Day” segment, the fans learned more about Choi Jin Hyuk’s recent hit series, Miss Night and Day. According to him, he really thought that this series would become a great success because it is helmed by a well-known director and there are great actors as well.
He said when he first read the script, he realized that this series was quite fun, and he thought that it was interesting to try and that made him decide to participate in this project. Jin Hyuk also talked about his chemistry with his leading lady, Jung Eun Ji. He mentioned that she is like a brother to him. She’s very kind, hospitable, and a great actress. “We are actually good comrades,” he added.
He also said that it was such an honor to act with a great senior like Lee Jung Eun and that she was so lovable. Jin Hyuk also described Yoon Byung Hee as a brother he loves so much. His extraordinary chemistry with his co-actors was seen in various clips played on the big screen. He is definitely the chemistry master! “I am kind of feeling proud right now because I’m watching the series with you guys, and you like it so much.”
Precious Interactions with PH Fans
Moreover, we had so much fun watching him enjoying himself playing games. He accomplished three missions given to him and because of that, one lucky fan had the opportunity to reenact one kilig scene from his drama, Miss Night and Day. (sana all bes!)
His interactions with the fans were so precious. He answered questions from the fans. One of those was about the role he played that resembles him the most in real life, he responded it’s Oh Chang Min from Emergency Couple. “The personality that I have is pretty similar to Oh Chang Min,” he pointed out.
Lucky fans also got a hug and roses from him. Jin Hyuk also handed signed photocards for them.
Spectacular Performances
Choi Jin Hyuk never disappoints with his captivating vocals and performed Day6’s Time of Our Life, Lee Hong Ki’s I’m Saying, which is one of the OSTs of his series, The Heirs, and ECLIPSE’s Sudden Shower, one of the soundtracks of Lovely Runner. He also wowed the crowd with his dance moves to Jungkook’s Standing Next to You. It was so fantastic!
Furthermore, Filipino fans expressed their love for Jin Hyuk and prepared a video message for him that made him feel so touched. The crowd says, “Mahal Kita Choi Jin Hyuk” and he responds, “Mahal Kita.” So kilig! He said the love that he receives from his fans is really amazing and unbelievable. “I’ll keep this in my heart and work to get a better project for you guys.”
Towards the end of the show, Choi Jin Hyuk performed his unreleased song, I Want to Run and Hug You, he said he prepared this song solely for this event. He is the sweetest! “Thank you so much for coming and I hope if there’s any opportunity, I will definitely come back here in Manila to have a better time with you guys. Saranghae! Mahal Kita!,” he concluded.
