Hwang In Youp briefly talks about his role in “Dear X” alongside Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae
Hwang In Youp is the L’Officiel Hommes Singapore’s cover star for their November 2024 issue!
On October 30, L’Officiel Hommes Singapore released their interview with Hwang In Youp. In that interview, the actor shared thoughts about his role in his currently airing series, Family by Choice, and his upcoming series, Dear X alongside Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae.
According to him, he put a lot of thought into how to express his character Kim San Ha who has a great childhood trauma and deep wounds, and how to make him resonate with viewers. He said he made a significant effort not only in verbal expression but also in actions to evoke this character.
In Youp also shared his memorable moments on the Family by Choice set and mentioned that the last scene of the shoot was the most memorable for him wherein it was a happy moment, and yet he was holding his tears back thinking about parting with his role as Kim San Ha and saying goodbye to his co-stars whom he spent time together like a real family. He was really happy during the filming of the drama and hoped that the story would be conveyed well to the viewers.
In his upcoming series, Dear X, he will play the role of Heo In Gang, a mysterious idol-turned-actor who has a deep secret. His character will bring tension to the series. Hwang In Youp mentioned that he will be presenting a new side of himself in this project. He said he would be showcasing this character in his own style, so he hopes that the fans will look forward to it and show lots of love.
Moreover, Dear X is a webtoon-based series with the same name that depicts the story of a woman named Baek Ah Jin who uses others to get what she wants and becomes a successful actress who rises to the top but eventually falls down.
Meanwhile, Hwang In Youp recently revealed that he will be having his 2024-25 “IN LOVE” Fan meeting tour in Taipei, Bangkok, Tokyo, Osaka, Manila, Lima, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Monterey, and Seoul. This is his way of thanking HIYLIYs for their constant love and support.
