Seo In Guk and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo in one drama together? Yes, please!
On September 10, Story J Company, Seo In Guk‘s agency announced that the actor received a casting offer to take the male lead in the upcoming series, Monthly Boyfriend, and is currently reviewing it affirmatively.
Seo In Guk made his acting debut in the 2012 series, Love Rain. He is remarkable for his roles in the dramas, Reply 1997, Master’s Sun, High School King of Savvy, Hello Monster, Shopping King Louie, The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, Doom at Your Service, Cafe Minamdang, and Death’s Game.
Prior to his acting debut, In Guk started his career as a singer and debuted in 2009. He recently released a self-titled album.
On the other hand, it was revealed on August 29 by Jisoo’s agency, BLISSOO, that she received a casting offer to play the female lead in the said series.
Jisoo debuted as one of the talented members of BLACKPINK in 2016. She successfully debuted as a soloist in 2023 with her single album, Me. In 2015, Jisoo took her journey in acting and appeared in the 2015 series, The Producers. She landed her first leading role in the 2021 series, Snowdrop, and has an upcoming series, Newtopia which is set to be released in 2025. She also has an upcoming film titled, Omniscient Reader.
Monthly Boyfriend revolves around the people who can subscribe to a boyfriend virtually and the relationship continues in real life. It will be helmed by No Gain No Love director Kim Jung Sik.
