Golden Child’s Lee Daeyeol makes his musical debut with “5! Happy Man” musical

Golden Child’s leader, Lee Daeyeol, has successfully transitioned into musical actor. He made his debut as musical actor, performing in the musical “5! Happy Man” at The Good Theater in Daehakro, Seoul. Taking on the role of Paul.

This musical tells a fun story about five priests. Each one is different. They try to get back money that was stolen from their church. The story takes place in a calm country church where a charity event goes wrong when the money disappears. To find the lost cash, the priests and town folks join a talent show. They share their special skills in a funny and touching way. The show looks at how they try to fix their money problem and shows how working together, changing, and the power of community are important.

Lee Daeyeol portrays Paul, the most junior priest with a unique past as a former idol trainee, in the production. Paul’s journey is marked by his transition from aspiring idol to cleric, aiming to spread his message of faith through his singing and dancing skills. Lee Daeyeol brings a gentle and appealing touch to the role, adeptly conveying the story of a young man discovering his genuine vocation.

In an interview, he also shared, “I am so happy to be able to stand on the musical stage that I have always dreamed of. Even while practicing every day, I had a happy day. Please come see the performance a lot and join us this summer. I hope people will get a refreshing smile through 5! Happy Man.”
